Quick stop before heading to Minneapolis. Can't leave Iowa without taking home some Krispy Kreme donuts. Nice clean store, right off Hwy 35. Good selection considered that we stopped at 2:30 pm. Staff was courteous and very fast.
It's been a long time since ce we ha e visited but the grandkids love the donuts. Much smaller than they used to be, that's good for.me
Cant go wring with KK.... Only 2 people working the whole store. Drive thru line was craaaazy long. And they were out of a few selections... Raspberry filled to be exact. No regular cream filled either.
I’ve given this place a few extra tries before giving it a 3 star rating. All three times i’ve been recently, they’ve been out of donuts. I’ve been early in the morning, lunch, and evening.
Placed an online order two days ago for pick up today, they hadn't even made the order when I walked in.
Stafd was awesome and fast! Sadly they were out of all the different flavors. The chocolate glazed was okay, wasn't too different from like a gas station donut. But the raspberry filled donut was amazing! The coffee was good too!
Really like Krispy Kreme but Ankeny store leaves alot to be desired. In there at approximately 2pm. Employees were terribly rude and definitely not helpful. Had to wait for someone to unlock the door because they decided to close the lobby without putting any notice on the door. All I can say is wow. What a way to run a business.
Closed lobby 6 hours early even thou they said they were low staff there was 3 people there which is what they always have then o had to catch my donuts as she threw them at me on my car and shut the window before I could even respond, low staff my hind qaurters more like lazy brats who dont want or deserve a job there.
Krispy Kreme is the best, however the Ankeny location leaves a bit to be desired..... Ordering online is more of a game of roulette. If you order & pickup at the store you'll be less disappointed... Slightly, anyway
Ankeny location is terrible. Always out of donuts. How is a donut shop always out of donuts? I’ve been there numerous times at different times, and days. Surprise out of 3-5 types of donuts. I only go for wife and kids. Me personally I would rather go to another donut shop.
