Ordered takeout (I live 30 mins away from Ankeny), GF got the crispy pork which turned out good. I got the chicken curry. It had literally NO flavor. I'd honestly say ordering from them is rolling the dice on whether you'll get a good meal or a not so good one.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable for a restaurant of this kind, and the portion size was more than generous. Food quality was very good, no complaints there.
Food was good and service was great! Never really had a bad experience here. Been a customer for the last 17 years!
Went here with my wife and first and foremost the service was terrible, which I would be able to get past if the food was good... It was not!!! I have eaten at over 100 Chinese restaurants in my lifetime, and this one sticks out as a clear WORSE OVERALL. I could not eat the food... on top of that I had to pay extra to use my debit card, they prefer cash... So bad. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
What a disaster. Unorganized beyond belief. Family of 6 waited over 30 minutes to be waited on and a server never showed up. So the family left. I'm waiting for takeout for over a half hour and my order still hasn't arrived. One meal at a time is coming out of the kitchen every 10 minutes. They can't find tickets, orders are wrong, and Doordash drivers are leaving. Last time for this place.
First time customer this evening and disappointed to say the least. Upon pick up of my take out was addressed by an older female who was rude and snappy...Mongolian Beef was 95% onions and 5% beef. Will not order again.
egg rolls were flavorless. orange chicken had no taste. over all not good. won't go back.
The seated restaurant customers are a second priority to the carry out customers now. Service was slow and food was bland. It's too bad, because this used to be the best Chinese restaurant in Ankeny.

Great sizzling rice chicken soup and pot stickers. Great service. Owners always welcoming.
