Huge huge awesome menu selection. The hot salsa on request is SPICY and really delicious!!! Best queso I’ve ever had. Huge portions. Rice and beans have great flavor and the crunchy tacos are great. Friendly staff and just a really excellent first experience. I can’t wait to be back!!! My new favorite Mexican spot! 10/10! So so so good!

We have always a good luck here. Tonight we were seated with no menus, we wait 20 minutes to get one. During that time one person asked if we wanted drinks. We ordered a couple margaritas, they could not make one, the one we got have no tequila. We asked for two glasses of water. we got one. Once we got a menu we were asked do we know what we want? We said no. then 10 minutes went by. he came back we ordered . Then took 20 minutes to get food. the beef tasted like it was soaking in water all day. you can drink the water out of the beef. it then took 30 minutes to get our bill.needless to say will not be going back. I talk to a couple of workers up at front and they did not seem to care.
Celebrated our anniversary here last night. Pretty busy but we got a seat right away. The servers were quick and we had drinks and food alot faster than we thought, considering the crowd. Food was delicious and authentic.Very little spice. Great margarita! Oscar was very attentive to the customers, even the 2 gentlemen who were being rude. Great place, great staff!
Excellent food, fast service. Some in our party enjoyed the buffet and others ordered from the menu. It was all very good.

I am a Des Moines resident, and we chose this place because ever since we came here for the first time, we were treated like family. Great customer service. The servers are the best. We decided to host a 2 birthday party here (my daugher and niece) and the lady who was servicing us was so patient with us. I would have gone crazy if I was helping my needy family. She always kept the smile and treated us like she enjoyed serving us. We were told on the phone there might be a long wait for 15 people, as soon as we arrived (20 min before the party would start) they told us come on in, we have a table for you! We were so happy. My daughter and nieced loved the party and we would like to keep this a tradition. By the way we didn't recognize the new place, it has been remodeled! Great job!!!! Love this place!
One of my favorite sit down Mexican Restaurants in Ankeny. The outdoor dining is nice (when it’s now snowing) and they have an easy ordering system for pickup. Fajitas are a must try at this place.
Always the best service and great food!! i totally recommend Guadalajara! The drinks are amazing too!!
