I will never be going back to Culver’s again, the last three times I have gone have been horrible. The first time was in Cedar Rapids I waited half an hour to get a salad open all over in the bag and a missing sandwich. Second time was also in Cedar Rapids I was given the wrong custard and that was all I ordered. This last time was in Akeney and I waited half an hour again to have to ask for our drinks and have a corn dog that was raw.
Bathroom trash was overflowing, in the dine-in area the floor was dirty, tables were not cleaned off. Staff just standing around chatting on phone. However food is good.
Ate there today (March 15th) around 6pm. The crew working was great! got our food in like 5 mins and it was super hot and fresh! every single employee was great. We will definitely be coming here more often!
Went there today, they were running very slow in the middle of the day. I specifically asked for chocolate custard and she rang it in as chocolate custard but when i finally got my concrete mixer it was vanilla. Their vanilla custard just tastes like milk. There were hardly any toppings in my concrete mixer which was severely disappointing. My mixer and my friends cone were both half melted by the time we got them. The outside of the mixer cup was also covered in melty custard and they didn’t give us an napkins. On top of all of this, there were little ice chunks in the custard we got. I will not be going there again.
The service has been terrible the last couple months. I know with covid staffing problems everyone has been hurting but not to the extreme extent as what is happening at this Culver's. No other restaurant compares. Our last two visits included receiving incomplete orders at the drive through. I thought the last time was a fluke. The order wasn't right on the screen. I corrected it and she said it would be fixed. I pulled up to the window and the order still wasn't correct. I went over the whole order and corrected it again. She repeated it correctly. They swiped my card a second time after some 10 minutes of trying to figure out how to edit an order. I left with our food and found we were missing items and had to return. The car in front of us was missing items also. It's painfully clear that the staff don't know what they are doing or don't care. Today it appears I also was double charged on my card. The presentation of my deluxe was bad. I've never seen it look so mushed and unappetizing. The cheese curds appear to have been dumped loosely into the bottom of the bag. There was liquid cheese sauce on the outside of several items in the bag that made a mess on the seat of my car. The food was barely warm. I spoke with the manager that didn't seem surprised or concerned about the issue or offer much of an apology. I was told I need to come back with a paper statement showing the double charge of $24. It's not an awesome policy. What a headache. Nothing was offered for my hassle. Can't say I'll be thinking about visiting Culver's anytime in the near future.
Manager said this was the standard amount of ketchup to be added and we should have specified “extra ketchup”. Have never received this little amount before. Usually people would just apologize and not lie and say it’s the standard.
It's hard to go wrong with the culver's chain of fast food restaurants and this location was no exception to the rule. Clean, Courteous and punctual. Although Culver's doesn't have the extensive menu seen in some of the other fastfood franchises I would be hard pressed to remember a bad meal at one.
The fries are always great! My husband has been disappointed for two years as he has always gotten the pork tenderloin basket which they do not have in Ankeny, Iowa anymore yet we can still get the pork tenderloin in Florida. He now gets the grilled chicken which this time was just a bit more edible than the last time, dry and over cooked. I got the crispy chicken which was almost as thin as a piece of cardboard hard on one side not quite as bad on the other. Very disappointed in Culver’s for the third time.
We order our supper from this restaurant and they didn't make the food for our son. When we went back to get his food and we were told they don't do that and they would give us a coupon to get an meal next time we come in. They finely told us they would make us his food this time. There wasn't even an sorry just we are following ore policy.
The young man who took our order never greeted us...just stared from behind his mask. Never thanked us. The booth we chose was dirty and my request to have it cleaned was met with rolling eyes. When I asked to see a manager a 16-17 year old came to the table. I told her my experience and she just nodded. I realize this is fast food but we felt just in the way. My attitude is there are too many fast food places to have to deal with this.
