I ordered my food. They said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I was there a few minutes early. I had to wait another 20 minutes for it to be brought out for curbside pick up. I ordered a full rack of ribs recieved 1/2 a rack and the food was cold as I'm checking it before I even left. The waitress that brought it out there was no thank no smile nothing. I will not return here.
Context: 4th of July, Monday, 2022 at 3pmFirst, we had to sit in a specific booth just to be served happy hour specials. We were moved 3 times before seated.Second, the drinks came out at least 20 mins after we ordered. How hard is it to make a margarita? The second round of them had a fly in one of the drinks. You can very obviously tell the ice machine is dirty.Third, the food was just as expected, below quality and a waste of money. Even a simple a burger was not worth spending 10$ on because your hands get covered in the butter they try to mask their low quality buns in. It’s okay, I got a to go box.Fourth instead of comping our margarita with the fly, she asked if I would go ahead a pay before I was done eating so she could go on lunch.Lastly, no one greeted us as we came in, nor did they wish me a happy 4th or good day as we left.Context is necessary because they are probably low staff, and understandingly. It’s chili’s.P.S. One of the hostess’ hit my girlfriend in the head with a menu “by accident” after listening to us make wholesome jokes about the bad service. Understanding if you’re petty, but show some professionalism chili’s.I highly recommend this chili’s if you’re looking for some regret in your life.-Obtuse Objections
We went there for lunch recently. I just moved to the area so I had never been to this location before. The staff was amazing and friendly (shoutout to Bree) and the food was sooo good! It was such an enjoyable experience and we will definitely be going back!
The food here was really good for the price. Unfortunately we had to send back some of the chicken because it was not good but they made no fuss about it and quickly brought back some chicken.
Very disappointed with our visit tonight. It was date night and we went with another couple. We were one of about 5 tables in the restaurant, so not incredibly busy. Took close to 20 minutes before our waitress finally came to us and got drink orders. Took another 10 to actually get the drinks which were not correct. Waited another 10 after getting drinks to finally be able to place our food order. Sat and waited for 30 minutes for the food to arrive and once it finally did, it was all cold. Chili’s was a main date night spot but unfortunately tonight’s experience has removed it from the list.
We ate at Chili's in Ankeny on Saturday, May 21st. Got there about 1pm as the noon rush was getting over, and were seated immediately. Our waiter arrived promptly and took our drink order, and by time he returned, we had decided what we were getting. We both ordered the "3 for Me" Chicken Fajitas, which came with an appetizer (we chose fried pickles.) The fried pickles were amazing, and when the main course arrived, I was expecting a scaled down version of the fajitas off the dinner menu, but that wasn't the case. You can judge for yourself, this was a monster meal, complete with 4 flour tortilla shells. After having the fried pickles, and knowing that were were having a cookie with ice cream as dessert (sorry - I forgot to take a pic of the cookie in it's own pan) we decided to take TWO of the tortilla shells home with enough fixings for lunch the next day. This is an awesome deal, folks.OK, now for the (men's) restroom. If you follow me or read other reviews of mine, I tend to visit the restroom and make a comment, because I think these facilities are every bit important as the waiters and food. Well, like I said, the noon rush had just gotten over, and I found a number of paper towels on the floor, as well as water slopped around the sinks. I'm not gonna "ding" Chili's for this although if their management reads this review, which I know they do sometimes, I hope they start periodic spot checks of the restrooms.5 stars for Chili's in Ankeny.
Our waiter did a good job. However, we were there during happy hour and did not get the happy hour price. We were with a larger group so we had to sit at a table. Our server asked if we can still have the happy hour price and they said no. Very poor customer service! I won't be going back. I guess this is why the restaurant was empty. Ankeny has many places to eat to go out to eat with large groups and they appreciate the business.
Food was good. Service was okay. She kept going by us without stopping and gave us our appetizer only a few minutes before our entrees were delivered. That will teach me for wearing a Nebraska jacket!?
We went Mother's Day evening the wait was short service was good my quesadilla was a little overcooked very crispy most of the filling was on one side the other side didn't have hardly anything on it I had a hard time eating it
Want to give props to our waitress today, Ana! She was very professional and affable and did an excellent job. Kept the drinks full. Dealt well with our elderly parents. Give her a raise!EDIT: Ran into her again recently, helped w. a pickup order. She is still great!
