Visited twice on a road trip. Very friendly staff and the food was fresh and exactly what I ordered. It's hard to find places that have non-meat products, so I especially appreciated the fresh-made Impossible Burger. Fries were hot and a little heavy on the salt, but that's probably just me. Clean bathrooms, too!

There’s designated parking for RV, because you can’t go through drive through with an RV, but the lobby was locked. There was no way for our family to get food their since we couldn’t go through drive through. Why have places for RVs to park when you won’t serve them.

We placed our order through the app, our card was charged. When we showed up to pick up our order we were told "we don't have food for that, that's your problem". The reason they had no food? They had shut off their broilers at 7PM even though they close at 8. They were already telling everyone they were closed at 7:15 because they had turned off all their machines and stopped making food early. The lady in drive through was extremely rude, and the man at the window wasn't rude but made it clear he wasn't going to do anything resolve the issue. We have had several bad experiences with this location and will not be coming back.

Doors were locked. They said they had the lobby closed because of short staff. But 2 of them were sitting in a booth on their phones while one was outback smoking. It's not short staffed if your not busy.

The inside dinning is hardly ever opened. Love Burger King but not when you have to take it home or eat ior eat it in your car. Need to open up the inside for people to sit and eat. All the other fast foods in Ankeny's dinning area is open.

Very poor - got the wrong meal and couldn’t get back into the restaurant to get it fixed. Ended up spending over $20 for a little kids plain sandwich and my husband’s meal. We will not be returning. (Fries did not taste good either). Very disappointing since Burger King is one of our favorite fast food places to eat! ?

Went through the drive thru. The employee on the speaker was friendly. The manager working the window was not. I greeted the manager and was ignored...I guess he was doing well enough he didn't need to be polite and answer when I asked how he was doing today? I get it if you're having a bad day but no need to ignore someone being friendly. His poor attitude won't stop me from greeting the next employee I encounter at the drive thru...remember they are people too doing a job trying to make a living. Food was decent. Simple order cheeseburger with only mustard and pickles. I'd eat there again if I was in the neighborhood.

I went through the drive-up to order & pick up. Long wait, then they forgot my drink. I had to get back in line at the drive-up, & it took 15 minutes the second time in line to get my drink. By then, my food was cold. Also, they have changed something with their French fries. I think they are using different oil for frying. The French fries aren't as good, & left a bad after-taste. I asked for catsup for my fries. The person dropped the catsup on the floor, then picked it up from the floor & gave it to me anyway. I'm glad I looked at it before driving away, because she gave me Bar-B-Q sauce instead of catsup. Workers are no longer wearing masks or gloves either, even though there us a new COVID variant that is even more contagious than the last variant. Not a good experience.

I was very impressed with Jahari who was running the window and taking orders on 4/22/23, he was very personable, funny, and had a great smile. Promote this man or someone go offer him a job! He is the only reason this review comes with 4 stars because the rest was rough, not world ending, but rough.We didn't get the nuggets we ordered, like it wasn't even a thought (pulled around the front to get them brought out) dude preping the food found this part hilarious. Now the fries, the fries is what really got me. We order medium meals, but definitely just got small fries in the medium holder. Other than that no straws or napkins. Jahari did go back in and grab straws after bringing out the nuggets. He even brought a handful of sauces to offer for the nuggets.Thank you for saving this visit and leaving us in a good mood at the very least!

Very bizarre experience. Ordered #8 (spicy sandwich) it wasn’t the spicy sandwich, I got a regular. I came during lunch hour so I didn’t mind accepting the mistake as they were busy. Sandwich was good! Fries were meh. Half of their order menu screen is blacked out so you can only see #7 and above. A few pops out of order. The main order taker (seemed like a manager) is very loud and disruptive to the point that everyone in the lobby is just turning their heads including myself. Mainly just barking orders at her staff in the back which is understandable but it’s disrupting peoples conversations. This is Burger King, not a bar. Overall seems like a lack of care.
