The food was so delicious so much flavor and the meat was extremely tender. Felt like I was back at home in OAHU HAWAII. Such a random place in a very peculiar area but I’m glad I stopped our road trip and stopped to grabbed something to eat.
Wonderful service Excellent Food Clean and nice atmosphere Hound Lady who works the front and cooks when needed is a Gem. The Cooks are Awesome Best Hawaii food from the West Coast to the Midwest that we have had
On a road trip today, stopped for gas and randomly stumbled upon this gem! I travel to Hawaii every other month to see my hapa keiki. Anytime I can eat some local Hawaiian food it makes me happy. The food was amazing and I’ll have to save this place for the next time I’m driving through Iowa!!
What a nice change of pace!! Travelling through Alkeny on a family Road Trip we chose Alohana over Chic Fil A. Fast and friendly service, tasty BBQ chicken bowls, reaaaaally good Crab Rangoon. I would recommend - relaxed atmosphere with tropical decor - nice touch.
AMAZING!!! Portions and price point in today’s world, this place has all of it. BBQ chicken bowl and egg rolls are hands down best I’ve ever had. I don’t live here, but now I wish I did. I’ll be back!

Delicious!!! I've gotten the BBQ MIX twice and it's so yummy! The meat is tender and full of flavor! I like how the beef is thinly sliced! And you get a good amount for the price!!I also love the egg rolls! They're full of meat!! And the pasta salad is yummy too!! Next time I'm going to try the Katsu chicken and I've heard a lot about the spam musubi so I want to try that next time too!!!
First time having loco moco. Felt like I was in Hawaii. Always saw it mentioned on Hawaii 5.0 and wanted to try. Reasonable prices. Lots of options. Fast friendly service
I’ve had all of the “main” dishes and they’ve all been great! I think the short ribs are my favorite but I always make sure to get some spam musubi as well. The staff have been nice every time I’ve gone and the building is very well kept.
I am not from the area so I wanted to try something different. I came across this place and WOW it was fantastic! I ordered the curry chicken. The chicken was fried with a really tasty and crisp coating. The curry sauce was delicious. I also highly recommend the egg rolls. They were crisp and filled with tons of meat. The prices here are also very reasonable. I will definitely return on my next trip to Des moines.
