My wife and I have eaten a lot of tortas and the like from food trucks in town and what not. The food was fine and the Ramen dish was something a little different, but it still doesn't smack like some of the other options in town.
If you're a Karen or like a white kid making your taco bell, keep on. If you understand there's at least 23 different kinds of just Mexican food, these guys are killing it on bibidas (traditional farmer food in Tamps, Mx.)
Paid $30 for rice and beans in a bowl, with a sprinkle of chicken, my wife could have made that at home and better at that.
I asked for a jarrito and she charged me for a burrito and didn’t give me my money back. When i told her i asked for a jarrito and not a burrito she then charged me for the jarrito. Bad service
I move here from San Diego and have not been able to find a decent Mexican food restaurant until I tried Tacos el Primo. The birria tacos were delicious! Three tacos, rice, the broth, two salsas, and a serrano pepper. You get a bang for your buck! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. They are about as authentic you can get in Iowa. 10/10 for Tacos el Primo!!
Great quesabirria with tasty dipping sauce. $10.50.
Absolutely loved it, reminds me of Southern California. My new go to for tacos from now on!
Food has incredible flavor and they always put a lot of meat! Highly recommend!
Really great food . I had tacos birria the meat was juicy and flavorful . They accept card now which is awesome cause I'm terrible at taking cash with me .
A $12 burrito with a pound of rice and a sprinkling of meat? Literally nothing else. Dry, inedible, and something I could make on my worst hangover. Too many other good Mexican options in town. And I wanted so much to like this truck. Bummer.
