I gave it a 1 star because there is no option for 0. We had a party of 13 the other Friday night. We arrived around 7pm. Tables were empty but we still had to wait 20min to be seated. Food was brought out around 8:30 mine was.forgotten and I got my meal just after 9pm. I had asked for no olives on my calzone and of course it came with them. I was so hungry by then I ate half. No one tried to comp me until I asked for the manager. He came out and gave excuses why things were so bad. Never eat here. This place needs to be closed down.
Ordered to-go over the phone for myself and some co-workers and it was all really good. We were missing a side Caesar salad but it wasn’t a big deal, the entrée was plenty filling. Only took 20 minutes from time of order until it was ready for pick up. Will return to dine in at some point.
Pasta was great with good flavor, sandwich was soggy, way too much sauce or juice that made the bread fall part so had to eat with a fork.
There was no Kick-off party even though I called and asked prior to going. The service was slow; no beer for 20 minutes after ordering. The to-go food was not made to order. I am so so so disappointed. An hour later a “party employee “ came out to tables for trivia and totally passed by our table twice; some party. I’ve been an OC meme er for many years with over seven tours and it was embarrassing.
The restaurant was only about 25% full, but it still took almost 40 minutes to get our sandwich and burger. The server was very friendly, and took care of us. I ordered an Italian melt, which they then told us they were out of. So I ordered a turkey club, which when it came out was just a plain turkey sandwich with nothing but lettuce and mayo. By that point we had to eat fast to get out of there, so I didn't say anything. I know everyone is short-staffed and things are tough, but definitely won't go back when I have a timeline on when I need to be done.
The service was phenomenal, deserved 5/5 stars. Was a pretty long wait, not the severe fault, but Its likely the system they use to help serve customers. Appetizers were amazing and the burger was decent, but their pizza was subpar at best. Not sure if it's just that I'm not a fan of the pizza or it's actually not worth the money, but that's my review of it. Otherwise, not a bad restaurant. Can't give five stars because of that pizza though.
My son's best friend recommended Old Chicago for son's birthday. We had a large party (9 including 3 small children). The service was excellent, the young lady who served us didn't hover but was ontop of making sure we had drinks and didn't need anything else. I was a little sticker shocked at the prices until we got our food. The calzones are large enough that my husband I could have easily shared one, and we are hearty eaters. All of us had to take home about half our meals because they were so plentiful. the calzones were stuffed full of goodies and so flavorful. My son was given a bowl of ice cream for his birthday which he greatly enjoyed. We accidentally left his birthday present behind at the restaurant. I called and the gentleman said we have closed early (middle of a snow storm) but just come by and call when you get here and I will bring it out to you. That was above and beyond the norms of customer service. I was so impressed with the food and service I plan to go back for sure.
the food was okay, all tables around us were dirty when we got there and when we left and there was only 1 other table with people, guy at front had his head buried in his cell phone and should have been assisting with cleaning. we asked for waitress to come get order for appetizers while we waited for our daughter to arrive but that didn't happen. I needed to send my pizza back as it came out lukewarm. probably won't be returning. time of day was 230 in afternoon, slow time so no excuse for any of this
They were understaffed, unfortunately, and we waited quite a while for our food. When we received our meal it wasn't hot. It was still good, and our server did a great job. We will try again when they have less staffing issues.
The service was amazing. The waitress didn't come 1000 times interrupting our meal. I went with several co worker's. She didn't even ask just filled our drinks no problem. I waa comfortable and the food was AMAZING ?. Keep up the great work ?. Great atmosphere and great experience
