Modern Mexican at its finest! A nice little gem nestled just off Lincoln Way, with plenty of parking. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely and cool, without the blaring mariachi music. The menu had a wide array of options, all reasonably priced. L Casa Maya also offers Mexican Coca-cola & Jarritos. The service was great and our food arrived quickly, even with modification requests.Can't wait to go again!
Was eating left overs this afternoon and found this in my burrito. not sure what this is, but definitely lost my appetite.

We just tried La Casa Maya for the first time and it was delicious! We ordered Hidalgo street tacos and Hawaiian street tacos and they were both phenomenal. The portions are very generous and prices are reasonable, plus they had our order ready in only 10 minutes.Can't wait to visit again!

Typical college town Mexican place. It gets crowded around meal times so just be cognizant of that. Prices are a little steep but portions are generous. Chicken burrito was great but my Seafood Chimichanga was not very good.Can't go wrong with a place like this as long as you know what you're getting!
Best Mexican food & Margaritas in Ames! Some of my favorite dishes are the campo bowl, pollo con crema & fajitas!
I originally would have given this place 4 stars; however our 3rd visit was horrible. I ordered a taco and the meat tasted off so I simply set it to the side and when asked said it had a funny taste. I then went take another drink of my coke and noticed that the inside of the cup was filthy, hard foam, brown, disgusting. I took the glass with us as we were checking out and showed the man at the register. He said well we use these glasses for lots of different drinks, it happens. Then the waitress told him I was the one that didnt like the taco and he made a comment in spanish and rolled his eyes.
Great food, adult beverages and service; this was our first time eating there but it certainly won’t be our last!
