Service was a little slow but it was at lunch time , my meal was amazing , but my kids didn’t seem to enjoy what was on the menu

Best Barbecue food I have ever had, servings were great. The quality of the food was amazing. But oh wait, there is more. If you thought the main course was good then the dessert menu came. You won’t be disappointed with the food here,I’m from California but can’t wait to go back for another fantastic meal. The service was especially awesome the 2 nights I ate here.

Generally a great place to eat. Missing almost all of the healthy options. Kinda disappointed this time around.

If I had made this post 5 years ago it would be 5 stars. I grew up in the area and used to come here all the time with family and it is some of my greatest childhood memories. Portions were large, price was perfect and service was top notch. Recently it has taken a turn for the worst. Portions have seemed to get smaller. They have changed some recipes. Prices have increased immensely, which many factors play into that I know, but for what you are getting now it doesn't add up. Service is still great though. Oh, also Patty Melt is still top notch!

We have been here many times and have always been pleased with the service and the food. We invited 2 couples to join us there for lunch today. The others in our group had their food at least 15 minutes before my husband and I got our salads. There was no apology or reduction on our bill. The salad was 85% lettuce with a little smoked turkey, some tomato chunks and 2 tiny slices of boiled egg. I didn’t see any bacon or mushrooms as indicated on the menu. Very disappointing since we always looked forward to our meals at Hickory Park

We throughly enjoyed the entire experience. We placed our name on the call ahead waiting list. Went just a bit before check-in and was seated almost immediately. Our server, Meg, was hands down the best! She treated us so well and was very friendly. We asked to speak with the manager to let her know how much we appreciated and admired Meg! This girl is gonna make you feel like royalty. Please ask to sit in her section and you’ll be guaranteed an amazing experience.

As a former Memphian, I grew up eating terrific barbecue and I can truthfully say that what is served at Hickory Park is not the "real stuff" It is simply roast pork with sauce and that is nor really "cue" They do have great ice cream treats including milk shakes and sundaes but skip the barbecue if you like the real McCoy

BUILDING: classic rustic ambiance with log cabin interior panels, old west settlement sillouette lighting, and old advertisements for various firearms and farm supplies.MENU: wide selection enabling plenty of options for vegetarian or non bbq lovers. Prices are in line with other mid tier restaurants. My only complaint being the lack of a la carte menu making bbq meat selection a tough choice.FOOD: moist tasty ham, ribs that fall off the bone, and great fries. My brisket was good but a bit rubbery, the Mac n Cheese was basic rich Velveeta with no flare, and the BBQ beans had a nice pork addition but no hint of BBQ outside of that.BBQ SAUCES: no labels on the 3 sauces on the table. They had a large bottle I assume was the house sauce, red lid I assume was spicy, and yellow lid I assume was sweet. The sweet sauce was the only one worth using. The house sauce was generic and the spicy had little spice and a watery base. Also the place was busy and my food was only room temp.Overall I rated 3/5 for good taste dispite a generic feel. Prices might be a little high but alligns with similar restaurants.

Had a take away brisket dinner and burger for lunch the next day. The food was good, place was packed.

Terrible Service, bad people. I ordered a burger here and it was absolutely disgusting and the waitress wanted nothing to do with my issues.
