Food was good but had to sit and listen to vulgar profanity filled music. Wouldn’t go back
I used to LOVE Es Tas, I used to eat and drink there all the when I lived Ames. So when I was visiting I knew I had to order from there. It was St Paddy’s so I was expecting it to be busy so I made my order early.Food was ready on time. When I opened my order I was disappointed that my order was a little off. The things like sauces were missing, tacos with added ingredients. My side of salsa has dirty sour cream and salsa finger print around the container!They weren’t even that busy so I was surprised my order was like this. The food was good, just like I remembered.
This is the second time we have ordered delivery from here and the second time our order has been messed up.The first time my husband ordered 3 tacos in a hard shell with no onions. He got a fried shell (they offer soft, hard, and fried) with onions.Today, I ordered him soft shell with no onions and he gets onions. I also ordered steak fajitas and literally got beef (hamburger) fajitas. This makes me sad. Our food never comes warm. I will say the food is good and their queso is delicious. Just wish they would slow down and get the order correct.
A friend recommended this place to me cause he knew was from Texas and craving some good ( real street tacos ) so went in to try it The minute I walked in they made me feel welcomed I Ordered the all you could eat street tacos and OMG THEY WERE GOOD . Found a new place to hang out eat some good food at a reasonable price . Thanks to the staff there made me feel at home.
OMG FOUND A NEW PLACE TO HANG HERE IN AMES AND YES REAL STREET TACOS ( all you can eat lunch special ) good price friendly atmosphere.
This is a dive bar so if you are looking for a night out with drinks, this is a decent place. I cannot comment too much on the food or drinks, however I certainly recommend the TACOS! They are beyond amazing! Meat is well cooked, tortilla crispy, veggies fresh, and proportionally seasoned.-Gest 2 the GIST

Went in for a burger and fries. The burger was VERY heavy handed on the seasoning. There was so much pepper and onion powder that it made the burger dry and hard to eat on account that it didn’t taste good. The fries weren’t horrible. The service was fine, but I’d advise against eating the burger until they change the recipe.
