Best chocolate on the planet! They also serve coffee. There is comfortable seating at a table or couches.So many choices! I make this a destination when I am in Ames.
Favorite chocolate place on EARTH. Piano players, endless homemade chocolate supply and yummy handmade ice cream. They also have hot and cold drinks. Try the Belgium chocolates and Hot coffee!

An extremely nice experience. They have so many options for chocolates and you can make custom boxes of different sizes including gift boxes. They also have a nice collection of gelato available. The ambience of the place is also extremely soothing if you want to sit for a while enjoying your coffee or a gelato. Finally, there's a piano there too! Visited Iowa for little more than a week and already went there twice! Last but not the least, the waitresses are extremely warm and welcoming.

The store is elegant and homey. I love the live piano music on Saturdays and the gelato is superb! I’d definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
I love this place, it feels very sophisticated inside but they are still family friendly! Their chocolate and gelato are amazing, the people are nice and the atmosphere is lovely, especially when they have someone playing the piano. If you are looking to get the most chocolate for your money, we find buying by the pound and not per piece saves some money (or gets you more chocolate depending on how you look at it).
The chocolates were smooth with many varieties, the employees were very helpful and the shop is very well decorated.

Wow just wow. Visited this place on my second day in iowa from Maryland! I'm an avid chocolate lover and have tried all sorts of chocolates from godiva, royce, truman, l.a. burdick and much more and this local chocolate shop very easily beats every chocolate I've tasted in my life. If Chocolate shops had michelin, this place would easily be three michelin stars lol. I've tried their hot chocolate, caramelized waffle snack, and the truffles, and they are all heavenly rich in flavor and smooth. Gosh I can't describe in words how amazing they were! ALSO, I ran into the owner and he pleasantly introduced the history of this chocolate shop and was super friendly to us. The ambience was just incredibly decorated and cozy - a perfect place for romantic dates. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!!! ❤️ I can't wait to visit this place again tomorrow!! These chocolates will be my suvenior to Maryland to my friends and family.
