Went there to get some grading done, but their wifi isn’t compatible with isus’s servers so nothing with a .iastate.edu address would load. Went to the counter to ask staff about it and the guy there said it happens all the time but he has no idea how to fix it. So they know this is a problem but have just not done anything about it….getting grading and school stuff done is kinda the reason grad students go to coffee shops, it’s so weird that they would know that this is a long standing issue and not have a solution
Time and time again the internet doesn't connect. I had to leave abruptly today because I couldn't get on and had work to do. Just left my food and coffee in total frustration. Can't come back.....off, to Starbucks. I'm here now, it works every time!
Love the staff, the atmosphere and the coffee. Wifi speed is usually about 30mbps and the environment is perfect for working.
Yesterday my son and I were in this café. The boy at the cash register turned to talk to his classmates and suddenly one of them leaned totally to her right side to be able to observe well, she did this twice. I did not feel comfortable with this and I asked the young man who attended us if there was any problem because I noticed what her partner did and he just told me that there was no problem.
Light roast pour over was amazing even without sugar or cream, lemon poppy scone was also incredible. Friendly staff helped make an informed menu decision. 5/5 would recommend.
Don’t go on a weekend if you want good or fast service. The same ladies work the counter every weekend and manage to mix up or mess up orders every time. I’ll go in for one latte with the cafe nearly empty and end up waiting 20 minutes while people who come in after me ordering much more complicated food and drink get their order before me somehow. I’ve worked food service, specifically a much bigger and busier cafe, and I just don’t get it. Three times now I’ve gone in on a slow Saturday morning and had laughable service. No idea if the service during the week days is this bad.
Good location, atmosphere, service, coffee, experience. Enjoyed time there with family for a mid morning chat.
Really nice and convenient place for someone like me who lives in the adjacent apartments. I really love their baked goods, but I think the sandwiches and wraps are somewhat bland.

Wonderfully decorated cafe with lots of seating. The free wifi and seating options are a big plus!The cafe had many coffee options and the staff were patient and super attentive to us. Our coffees came with some really unique stickers on them. I was a little disappointed with my pumpkin pancake latte, because I could not taste any pumpkin.My chai latte also tasted more like dirty chai, which is great, but I would have preferred more sweet chai flavorThat aside, Cafe Milo is a cool cafe and it is definitely worth a visit!
