A delightfully busy, well loved cafe. The customer service was excellent for how busy the cage was on a Sunday. The ladies were delightful, though it was hard to hear when my order was called as ready.It's rare for me to have a slice of Tiramisu that is [not] much too heavy to be paired with anything other than a glass of water and a wince, but this place has somehow perfected it's recipe to not only be a perfect blend of spices, cream, cocoa, and coffee, but it was perfectly matched to the nice, albeit slightly weak, hot chai tea latte I got. While weak, the chai itself was a nice blend that was not overpoweringly spicy either, and my partner enjoyed a strawberry banana smoothie.I will update this review with my review of their sandwiches and scones if I have the chance to come here again.
I love this coffee shop, the staff are friendly and their seasonal flavors are extremely varied and interesting. Cozy atmosphere, and the waffles are great too
Awesome cafe feel inside. Lots of little seating spots to read a book or get some work done. Smoothies, coffee and pastries. Secret gem, their cinnamon rolls! Best smoothies in Ames!
Delicious raspberry white chocolate mocha and their breakfast sandwiches are very yummy. Perfect place to study and relax!

My husband and I got the chicken panini. Spoiler: 10/10 not a panini ? it’s. Sandwich with a chicken breast and some tomatoes pesto mayo? Mine was fine but His was grisly and inedible. Plus we got to share a napkin. Just the one. Loved that. Love the Cafe but I think the menu could do with some revisions.
Fantastic food, coffee, and service! The everything bagel with cream cheese was to die for!
Great environment! Cozy place to study with friends. Coffee was decent, I got the mocha s'mores. The waffle with berries and whipped cream was also pretty good! Overall, a welcoming atmosphere and a great place to hang out
Cafe Diem is a great little cafe in Downtown Ames. They have fast wifi, lots of seating and a fun interior. They have a simple menu with just the right amount of options.Finding good chai is hard in Ames but Cafe Diem has great chai. Prices are about what you come to expect at a cafe.Do note that not all seating areas have power points in their vicinity, which may be a problem for students wishing to study.That aside, Cafe Diem is great. Highly recommend!
