This past Friday, I experienced top-notch service from a waiter at this Buffalo Wild Wings location. I've never not enjoyed coming to BWW, but with the short staffing currently happening for many restaurants, as a customer, I've been able to feel the hurriedness and pressure that the wait staff have been dealing with lately. Not on this occasion, though. We were seated relatively quickly in the bar area. Our drink orders were taken immediately, and the timeliness of receiving them had me shocked. The food came out quickly and was exactly what we ordered. The gentleman serving our table made sure our every need was taken care of, and it was just a breath of fresh air to have that experience. I told everyone willing to listen how positive of an experience this was, so to the waiter we had, thank you for the amazing service. We look forward to coming and dining at BWW again soon.
We part ways. Last dining experience will be my last. Service was terrible for us. Hope yall have a better experience. Employees were nice, but did not seem to know what they were doing. Our server had to be asked to clear empty trays from out tabe. My 2 year old spilled lemonade from a leaking cup (I demenstrated that it was the cup and not my toddler for the server. Instead of getting us napkins she continued to try to place our order. No celery or carrots with food. I used to love B-DUB. What happened?
TL;DR - The order was messed up, the kitchen staff is seemingly terrible, and on top of being messed up, it was like eating crumbs.Man.. I hate to be that guy that only leaves a review when the place is bad, but man this experience was awful. As far as time, I wasn't paying attention. We showed up at around 22:15, they close at 01:00. We were greeted fine, sat equally as quickly, and waited a few minutes for our server. It's a slow day, so they closed one half the restaurant. They've got two servers and a bartender on, not sure what the kitchen situation is like.We ordered our food fairly quickly as well. One of us got a Burger and fries with a snack wing, the other a 20 piece boneless. For the boneless wing there was blue cheese and celery ordered. They forgot the celery and gave ranch instead. I should've gotten a picture of the sauced bread crumbs, but I wasn't initially going to complain. $22 for a 20 piece boneless that was very little chicken and very much breading. Needless to say, seeing as all the chicken is frozen and easy to sort through, I was impressed at how lazy and inconsiderate the kitchen staff is.As for the burger, it was just fine. Good flavor, well cooked, no problems there; the fries tasted like they had been left out for the last 20 minutes, but that happens. Mistakes are made in the food industry, and I'll be the first to admit I've made plenty. As far as the speed of our order, the party that came in after us got served all of their food before us... and got the same food as we did. When it comes down to the order being messed up, I'm not sure who to blame. It's a simple game of telephone from us, to the server, to the kitchen staff. Our server was just fine and I harbor no complaints towards them. They were plenty attentive and, though a little distracted, tried to stay on top of things as much as possible.I hate to say it, but I don't think I'll come back here, specifically, for at least 5 years. I've had just fine experiences everywhere else, but here was just overall terrible.
I ordered two types of blue moon, both tasted like skunk beer. Then our food was Luke warm, and finally I ordered 20 wings and got ten with no salt and vinegar flavor to which my waitress took over 20 minutes of me attempted to wave her down to finally come over and then told her about my issues. Then it took 40 minutes to get my replacement wings which after the fact my girlfriend was finished with her food and we had to return home. So all in all I got to eat nothing and was charged 70 mf dollars after tax. So now I will go home and try to enjoy my now OVERLY flavored wings that look white after the seasoning. Thanks.
Terrible experience here and in recent visits. Normally the wait for food is somewhat tolerable (though still way too long), but today broke a record with how long it takes to get a fresh wrap and fries. The food came out cold and the fries were so brick-hard that it was difficult to break them in half. We ordered the food to go after waiting for almost 45 minutes for it, and were told that we would get fresh fries due to the inedible batch we received. 15 minutes later, no fries, and the waitress is taking other people's orders instead of helping us deal with the issue. The restaurant was not busy, and there seemed to be plenty of staff. It's beyond me why a simple order could take almost an hour to make and get out to the customer.Very poor experience tonight, very disappointed over all.
Our waitress was fine. We were seated and she came right over to take our drink orders and then food orders. That is the extent of the positive experience. Food came out not all together. 2 kids meals came out, then my husbands and my food came out 5 min after that. 10 min later our 2 year olds Mac n cheese finally arrived at the table for him to eat. Try explaining to a hungry 2 year old why everyone else has food and he doesn’t have his Mac n cheese. Wings were cold, both sauced wings mixed together on the tray and carrots just thrown on top. Not the Buffalo Wild Wings experience we’ve been used to.
Since the pandemic, their service has gone downhill big time. Even the food quality has dropped off. Hoping they can rebound soon!
BWW Ames is always good, reliable and friendly staff too! One of my favorite lunch spots. The Ultimate nachos are huge & amazing.
Took 20 minutes to stop by the table another 5 to get waters and another 5 to get the wrong beer. Brought out cold fries, the wrong order, cold wings that were 50% covered in sauce at best. 15 minutes for the server to check in after the food arrived. My daughter and I ate 4 wings and asked for the check. The server after all this, and with me telling her that we just wanted to go (90 minutes at this point), preceded to greet another table, enter and order, deliver drinks and then run our card. I'm not asking for any handouts but we paid over $30 for what amounted to a beer and 4 wings. There were a total of 10 tables in the place, and at least 5 servers. Not the first time we've had bad service or food here, but will be the last for a long time. Buyer beware. As a follow-up, BWW replied to submit a feedback online. I did do this and was greeted with further automated responses, no suggestion that they would actually look into the problem and offer "points" in their rewards program. Unfortunately they dont seem very genuinely concerned about this locations poor performance. I guess if you want to exchange $30 for a couple points in their rewards program this is the place for you.
We went one night to eat dinner and watch the Providence Friar basketball game. We had the most awesome waitress I have ever experienced. Went back last night to celebrate a birthday. All the staff were wonderful. Buffalo Wild Wings will be my new go to spot!!!!
