I won't get the steak next time but everything else was delicious. Drinks were great and friendly staff.
Well I have not been a fan for a while for different reasons but..... I have to say if you order a steak medium rare. Don't bring it out on a plate that keeps coming out until it's well done.
The manager at Applebee's on Southeast 14th was the greatest. I sent my daughter to pick up an order and had a code but she didn't have it and they needed to see it and she didn't have it that the manager went ahead and let me use the code and told me just to save the code for another time. It was so nice of her, I love Applebee's, all the food is good so are the people. Now what post

It’s just a consistently good chain restaurant. Nothing over the top fantastic and nothing horrible. I have 4 stars only because they were out of several cocktail items and I couldn’t order the drink I really wanted to try.
Had a ribeye, was slightly over cooked and wife's burger was under cooked after asking for well done (no pink). Waitress was great though.
The food was amazing as always! Everything was cooked just right and it tasted great. I love how the servers are so nice. In my experience, this Applebee's has the best servers. Always so kind and helpful.
I really like this Applebee's in Ames the food is prepared well. However the bartender I had that day was standoff.
Beer was flat, steak was over cooked. Their idea of sauteed mushrooms and onions was not cooked enough. The steak taste was good. Service was pretty good.
It is what it is, a comfortable family oriented restaurant with decent food, reasonable prices, and okay service. If you keep your expectations at the aforementioned level, you'll have a good experience.
