No complaints here! I've heard people say the staff is rude but I've never had a problem. I've had a few conversations with staff there and they've always been polite and informative. Want to get on the good side of the staff, ask about the art work on the south wall.
I love this Chinese place. As of Feb 2022, they are still doing take out only, so it feels safe to pick up food there. It's delicious, and all their dinner platters are enough for two meals. My vegetarian friends also really like the place.
If you like 3 bites of beef and 1 pound of onion get the Mongolian beef...this places sucks evey single time. If I could I would give zero stars.
We will never ever order from 888 again. $54 wasted. I had chicken lo mein. It was 95% noodles and 5% chicken. Someone else ordered Mongolian Beef and I swear there was 2 whole onions in that dish and barely any beef. Dinner does not come with the typical sides either. No egg rolls. No crab rangoon. Not even fortune cookies. 888 doesn't skimp on the noodles or the veggies, but if you want meat with your dish, you're gonna be sadly disappointed.
Ordered take out, got home and found a hair in my food.
Ordered from here tonight and within 15 minutes of eating the food, my family and I began to feel sick. We suffered from nausea, stomach pains and queasiness...... We threw what was left in the trash. This was our first and last time eating here... wasted $60 ??♀️
Food is good but they are NOT all that cheap. Not a money saving take away option.
My boyfriend and I got takeout from here last night (house special chow mein and chicken and broccoli.) Gave us both food poisoning and when I called to ask for a refund, they refused saying “if it didn’t taste bad there was nothing wrong with it.” Definitely will not be eating here again.
Awesome food! Great, timely service. Best Chinese take-out in Ames, no doubt.
