Quite a chill place to have some tasty and authentic (?) Japanese ramen. The dining experience is one of a kind in this city, as you place an order on the machine right in the lobby room and then enter the restaurant by opening the sliding door with a touch of your palm. They’ll serve you food through a tiny window in front of your seat. This is very different from the dining experience you’ll find in the other Yatagarasu across the river. You’ll find it worth the money if atmosphere and experience is what thrills you!

We stopped by yatagarasu on the way back from Chicago to Indianapolis. The bowl of ramen was only $11!! So cheap compared to the $14-17 we typically pay in Indianapolis... and also they didn't accept tip here.We ordered through the machine by the front door. It was a little confusing but not bad.The ramen was really good and I especially liked the soft boiled egg!

When I would return home from an evening out in Tokyo while in college, there would always be a noodle cart guy serving up ramen outside my train station where I’d often stop have noodles and share stories with Japanese businessmen and the owner of the cart. The flavors of the food and vibe was quintessential Japan. This shop’s food, service, and college town vibe is about the closest thing you’ll come to stateside to replicate that authenticity, especially for being in semi-central Indiana. Give them a try. Just don’t be surprised if you find yourself coming back later the same day looking to get another bowl.

usually this is my favorite place to eat on campus before i go study. although it’s kinda overpriced i still treat myself to it every once in awhile because it is really good. this last experience though i kinda had a change of heart. when i order my usual, sushi burrito, i get extra spicy mayo as an extra everytime. when i receive it it’s usually 1/4 of the tiny cup full. so this time i decided to add two to my order. and received two cups worth of the one cup split in half. there was barely anything at all which was kinda disappointing considering i paid extra. what was also disappointing was the sushi burrito itself this time. completely flat barely anything in it. tiny bit of rice tiny bit of cream cheese. for $15 it was not worth what i had got. i’ve never had a bad sushi burrito from here before up until this point. to add to it all the man in the kitchen behind the curtain was taking rips from his vape right in front of me. smelt god awful. if i wanted to smell flavored smoke while i eat i would have went to the hookah bar right down the road. super super disappointed with this visit.

Sitting here now, I can't finish my ramen because I got a mouthful of soap flavor. The dish wasn't washed properly and the pork tasted like soap. Walked away from a 10$ bowl. Overpriced and gimmicky. 3$ for a 12 oz can or soda is a bit much for me. For the same amount of money, Katana would be a much better option. I won't be returning.

Such a welcoming atmosphere with amazing foods. I really do feel like there is a bowl of ramen for everyone here, if one flavor is not it for you there are many others to try, and ways to customize them. Definitely a great place to try.

Apparently the service has been significantly improved compared to last year. The food is always delicous, so i will give them 5 star. If you are first time here, u should try Miso or Paitan ramen

I found the ramen extremely salty, I love the environment and it was beautiful decorated I just wish they had a low sodium option.

So good, I would suggest it to anyone that loves ramen. ??✨

Really interesting place. I got a couple of sushi rolls and they were excellent. I like the unique dining area. Their menu selection is a little slim, especially on the drinks, but it was a cool experience. I don’t know why, but the seaweed on their rolls was AMAZING. I feel it’s a bit claustrophobic (especially the entrance area) but I think the touch screen menu is really cool. You don’t see this type of ordering tech in most restaurants on campus and it’s really cool!
