I have to say I put hight expectation on this restaurant, so I was kind of disappointed. One of my friends study at Purdue for 7 years told us that is the one that he love the most. Maybe I was spoiled by some of the great Chinese restaurant in WI, IL. This is just an okay Chinese restaurant. Typical decent Chinese restaurant in WI or IL, always provide fancy tableware, but this is a little bit far behind. The food we ordered with green pepper was not spicy and tongue-numbing enough. The food here were not that bad, but just don't put high expectation after reviewing the picture from the store owner.
The food was really good. Quite good ambiance and enough privacy for your group! The host was friendly and attended us really well. I was there for the first time, but my colleagues are regular visitors and they said the food quality has improved a lot recently.
Very slow service, we had chicken dumplings and a hot&sour soup it took over 20 minutes to get it. But the soup was decent enough. Dumplings aren't so good. Decently priced and clean, except they don't clear tables in time.
one of the best places i have ate at in lafayette. the girl who works here is so sweet and the hot pot is soooo flavorful.
Tried to order by phone for pick up/carry out.I had 5 items on my list - taken directly from the menu. They were out of the first 4 I asked for.The woman on the phone was abrupt and lacked any effort to suggest alternatives. When I complained about the shortages with no explanation, I was told I was being rude. So, 80% of the items I wanted were unavailable. Definitely not happy, but not rude.Get it together or you'll be out of business.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. We'll definitely be back. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient.
The ambience and food are great. Perfect for family dinners or date nights. Reasonable prices and great portion sizes. Had a little difficulty communicating with lady serving our table, but she had a google translate open, so everything went smooth. Kudos to google, and the lady for smart use of it. She was very friendly and patient while serving us too. Will definitely recommend it.
We decided to try the two flavored soup. The two flavors we picked were the tomato base and the spicy base. Both of the bases were really good the level 2 spicy was definitely hot enough, not sure how crazy level 3 would be. For the meats we picked fatty beef, spicy beef and the delicious mashed shrimp. We picked sweet potato noodles napa cabbage and been sprouts. The fatty beef cabbage and sprouts were really good. I think next time we do this it will just be those. The noodles made it hard to eat any didn't add to the flavor.
I’ve been ordering lamb vindaloo from anywhere I can for years. The lamb vindaloo here is tasty, but they only gave me three small cubes of lamb and two pieces of potato in an entire entree. If you want any meat based dinner from an Indian restaurant, just go to sharmas kitchen. It’s about the same quality in taste but they also give you the food you ordered in a quantity that fits the price.
First time in town. I heard that this place is the best Chinese restaurant I could find here. The female staff who took my phone call was very patient and friendly. She did recommend me some good stuff. The food was authentic and delicious! Love the chestnut chicken and eggplant. Will definitely come back again!
