Happy China is always hit or miss . Some days the food is great & some days it’s just ok. I only visited a few times & each time I’m rolling the dice wondering if today is going to be good or just ok. I’m from Chicago so the fried rice there is real fried rice brown with green onions only, not peas & carrots like most places in Lafayette Indiana .
Tasty and super cheap. A friend recommended it to me as an alternative to panda express. I especially like their soups (wonton soup, add black pepper) and fried appetizers (pu pu platter is so cheap). Their pork dishes seem kinda meh but the chicken ones that I have had were quite good. Don't mind the staff's dismissive attitude, just go in and grab your food.
This place used to be really good.Ordered two large egg drop soups and a large hot and soup soup also the general Tso Chicken. It was all nasty. No taste, the hot and sour soup tasted like something was rotten in it.The General Tso chicken was rubbery and tasteless. There was 0 effort put into this food. Not going back.
Food was completely tasteless. They shoved my order through the window and snapped it shut walking away as if I were an inconvenience to them. When I got home I open my order and I was missing items.I would recommend going to En-lai on Teal Road and saving yourself a tasteless rude encounter at happy China
Cheap but big portions and good. Would recommend the 'hot and sour soup' and the ho fun noodles
Service wise, they are very kind to change the delivery address, uber eats has messed up my address and i cant edit it. So i called them.Taste wise, the chicken tasted similar to Panda Express, which is not a bad thing. However, Mongolian Beef has too much onions, so it's disappointing.
It's so cheap and the food is decent. One time they forgot the 2L lemonade ($2 each btw, huge steal) from our order. We called them and they asked for our name, phone number, and address. 2 hours later, there is a singular lemonade bottle outside our apartment. Who delivered it? We will never know. Best Christmas present ever.
there rude they don't use gloves when cooking ur food nor hair nets grease dripping off the stove tops just nasty as hell don't go there u will have the biggest chance of getting food posioning using the same bowl to cook everything in just not professional at all
I ordered online, requesting General Tso's Chicken with white rice and extra chicken, but instead I received Kung Pao Chicken (without the extra chicken). This isn't the first time I've had a negative experience with the food here, but it'll be the last. I won't be ordering from Happy China again.
I order from Happy China about once a week. These people could not be any nicer and the food is always good. The portions are generous and consistant. Give them a shot!
