great food first time there , service was excellent will be back again very happy :)

fantastic food, friendly staff!

Believe me when I say you owe it to yourself to come to Veleros. Potato and black bean taquitos, lobster and shrimp quesadillas, chicken enchiladas and roasted chicken with molè and coconut rice. I swear there is an army of angels in the kitchen. Easily my favorite resturant. And the mango margheritas with tazin are heavenly. Plus there's a bass player here that's played everything from Queen to Prince to the Ohio Players. This food will make you happy about life in general ❤️

Great food and great service!! We will be back!! Wait staff is phenomenal and the food is HOT and fresh!! Great Job to the chef ??

We were so impressed with our experience here! The food was fantastic but my son was really tired, loud and would not behave. I felt bad for other customers and was going to take him to the car and get our meals to go but the staff gave him a balloon, talked to him and gave him 5 star treatment! This helped him so much! Will definitely be back!

We had the good pleasure of dinning here for the first time Sunday, early evening. Service was welcoming and friendly. Menu was well diversified, not the usual south of the border fare. Lime Margaritas we’re in the best of NWI quality, shaming the chains. Regular guacamole may very well be the best we’ve had and surely no less than equal to the best. Can’t wait to try their other varieties. (Yes, there’s more) Tuna with habanero mango is in a league of its own. Habanero Mango sauce will set you free and the tuna tender and fresh. We followed these appetizers with a simple grilled chicken salad. We were satiated with the richness of the appetizers, eating more was out of the question by then. Knowing at this point that the the chicken and avocado dressing were going to be a special treat, we couldn’t help but sample it. The chicken seasoned (marinated?) to perfection and the avocado dressing a whole new taste treat. It was almost painful denying ourselves these salads as we boxed them to go. But, oh boy, lunch today is going to be special. Thank you Luis (our new friend for ever) for a wonderful dining experience. Be careful bringing a new or newer date here, the focus will quickly shift from that special someone to the food. Knowing what We know now I still don’t really understand that even on a Sunday evening how we were able to get a table. So do us a solid and don’t let anyone else know about this place. I’m afraid if word gets out we’ll have a hard time getting a in.

High quality food with an excellent flavor profile. Plenty of dairy-free options which is hard to come by at a Mexican restaurant. Price point is fair for the quality, if you are looking for cheap and generic food go elsewhere. I highly recommend the plantain rice. Waitstaff were quick and efficient. The inside was clean and decorated nicely. The live music was an additional touch. I plan to come here again

My wife and I stopped in for lunch today. Nestor was our server, and he was great! We ordered guacamole and he also brought us complimentary taquitos that were fantastic! I ordered Churasco which was skirt steak, chicken breast and Brazilian sausage with beans and rice and fried plantains. My wife had the skirt steak entrée. Both dishes were incredible!!! We had enough to take some home too! We could not be happier. Can not wait to go back.

Love this place! The food. The servers. The warm attention to customers. We over-ordered (because isn't that what you do with mexican food?) and between our fundido, three kinds of guacamole, short rib tacos, breaded mahi mahi, coconut rice, PLUS the extra dish sent gratis from the kitchen, we were well-nourished and very, very happy. Also had margaritas which are fine. Not standout, but a very good accompaniment to an excellent meal. We will be back!.

Nester was a wonderful waiter! It was our first time there and he was very attentive, making sure we had the up-to-date menu specials (pomegranate guacamole?!?!?!!!). While we didn't order an app, Nester brought out a beautiful plate of tacquitos for us to try while we waited for our meal. My chicken enchiladas with poblano mole were INCREDIBLE. The mole was rich and the entire dish had flavors that were deep and satisfying. My partner ordered the lamb and cactus salad, which was so tender it fell off the bone! We had the churros for dessert and they were so light and crispy, a perfect accent to the creamy vanilla ice cream they came with. We cannot wait to go back to try the rest of the menu. An authentic gem tucked away in NWI. 10/10 recommend.
