Wow! Fabulous service & food. Tammie was so kind and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the Caesar salad and calamari for our appetizer. Calamari was so tasty—a nice change from traditional Italian calamari. We ordered pasta and ribeye for dinner and everything was cooked perfectly. Great ambiance. Drinks served timely. Tammie checked on us frequently to ensure we were happy and kept our drinks full. Clean bathrooms as well! Will definitely return & recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
Great ambiance in this old downtown building. The fun stops there. Owner completely trashed, drunk talking to patrons sloshing around with his 10th glass of wine. Only Carlos can do that and pull it off. The food was mediocre at best. Who charges $14 for a Long Island? This guy!! Never going back. I want my Saturday evening back.

HUGE shoutout to the staff at Main + Lincoln! We had my mom's birthday dinner at M+L last Friday. The staff could not have been more accommodating. The food was delicious, drinks were great, and the service topped off an incredible evening. Even better was the entire restaurant singing Happy Birthday to my mom. Such a fun night! Most of us travelled from out of town and couldn't have been more impressed. THANK YOU!
My wife and I were so excited about our dinner there this past Christmas. We've lived in Valparaiso a few years now, but were always going into Chicago for special events, but finally decided to give Main + Lincoln a try due to the great reviews we've heard. We are both December birthdays and decided to celebrate them along with the holiday together there. I made reservations via telephone since it was too far out to do online. They were super friendly for the reservation, noted I was the only reservation so far for that date and asked which table we'd prefer along with if we were celebrating anything (I noted it was for both of our birthdays). Corner by the window I was told was the best table, so we chose that. Upon arrival, the place was only about half full which was a pleasant surprise. The table we had reserved had other guests at it that hadn't even received their drinks yet and we were placed elsewhere which was kind of a bummer. Our server seemed very rushed, unenthusiastic and almost seemed bothered by questions about the drinks and food menu. We had the calamari and oysters to start which were both wonderful. I was very impressed with the oysters specifically. Our drinks were also good (martini and old fashioned). Despite having told the server that we didn't want to order entrees until we were done with our apps as it was meant to be a relaxing meal (the place was still not full so it wasn't like we were holding up tables), we were asked twice while eating the apps if we wanted to place order yet. We did eventually order our food. The presentation was beautiful, but I will say unlike the apps, the entrees were less exciting. There wasn't much seasoning which I was surprised by since the calamari was so spot on. We still generously tipped our server 30% for the holidays (+we used to be in the service industry). Regardless, of there being zero acknowledgement of our celebration (wasn't expecting anything free I'd like to add, just would have been nice to have it acknowledged), the service, there were a lot of other items on the menu I'm curious to try and hope that next time we come back it'll be a better experience. It may end up becoming just a good spot for cocktails and apps for us.
This restaurant located in historic downtown Valparaiso is a must to visit if you like Great local food and local brewery beers.

We had dinner here tonight for the first time and it is the best food we've had in Valpo! Everything we ordered was incredible! The caesar salad was delicious! I never order chicken when I go out but for some reason decided to try the Amish Chicken Picatta and it was amazing with the best potato puree I've ever tasted. Being all our meals were so delicious we figured we should try the dessert too and it definitely didn't disappoint! This is my favorite place so far in Valparaiso! Chef George is truly talented with putting together such great flavors! And I can not finish this review without complimenting how amazing the service was. I believe our waiters name was Ben and he was the best! Super friendly and attentive! Even the other server would check on us and make sure our drinks were full. I've been wanting to try Main and Lincoln since moving to Valparaiso and I'm so happy we finally made it in, it exceeded our expectations and look forward to returning soon! Thank you for a great experience!
Had dinner with a friend last night and sat at the bar. The service was exceptional even though the bartender was super busy she did not miss a beat. The food was outstanding and of course, as always, the desert was incredible. Highly recommended visiting M+L for a great dinner experience.
