Chef was amazing. Food was probably the best hibachi we’ve ever had. Staff was very attentive. Definitely a do again!

I visited this location yesterday with my wife & mother for a Mothers day dinner. When we arrived we were seated at a grill with two other parties. No biggie as this is customary in Hibachi restaurants. About 20 minutes after we had been seated another party arrived and was seated around the grill/table adjoining ours, again no biggie, but sitting things up for the kicker. We waited probably about 30 minutes before our waiter let us know that we were the next grill to be served and as soon as one of the chef's was available they'd be over to serve us. About 10 minutes later a chef was free and but started serving the party that had arrived 20 minutes after us, and who knows how long the others at our grill had been waiting. Our waiter was super polite and I can't say anything mean about him but was upset that we weren't served on a first come first serve basis. My other big complaint was that the portion of food served was not adequate compared to other Hibachi style restaurants. I usually feel up when dining at a Hibachi restaurant, but I actually left this location still feeling hungry. The rice which is usually a good filler for the meal was barely covering the spatula when served, same with the chicken. A large plate was used to serve the food and in all honesty maybe 30% of the plate was actually used to serve the food. The price on the menu was inline with other Hibachi locations I visited so no complaints there, just the volume of food served did not meet my expectation. This was quite possibly due to the chef making a miscalculation on the amount of food needed to serve the party size as the grill adjoining our hibachi table was served 2 to 3 times the amount of food we did. This is the only hibachi I've ever been to where the chef didn't grab more food when realizing that the amount of food obtained was not adequate to feed the party size. While we were overall pleased with the dining experience because our waiter Truman was awesome, we will likely not visit this location in the future as the price to amount of food served just didn't meet our expectations. I hope anyone who is choosing this establishment has a more pleasant experience than we did. We wanted to really love the experience and have another hibachi to visit within 45 minutes of our rural home but unfortunately this trip just didn't live up to the dream.

They tell you twenty minutes wait. Then 45 minutes later they tell you they don’t have a chef. They decided to take the two bigger groups instead of us. They didn’t have reservations. I asked them. Then the manager lied to us. I understand making money and business but just poor customer service. Told us it would be another hour for a chef.

Edit: Their system for writing down names and reservation is four or five scattered sheets of paper with notes all over them. No specific order.

Delicious and very yummy in the tummy!

Just moved back to the area after 30+ years in Vegas and LA, enjoying the top notch sushi restaurants on the west coast. The quality of Tokyo Grill is good, which is very nice for this area. The quantity leaves something to be desired. The rolls are fresh but they're loose and small. I ate 2 rolls and was still hungry enough to order a philly roll just to finish the meal. The philly roll was NOT fresh, which leads me to believe that they might make the really popular rolls (california roll, philly roll) beforehand instead of to order. When it comes to sushi, that's not good at all. Everything needs to be made as it's ordered and the rice needs to be super fresh, it takes almost no time at all for sushi rice to get dry and less than perfect sitting on a counter or refrigerator shelf. Bottom line: the chefs know what they're doing but the establishment is skimping on ingredients. Probably still the best you're going to get without making a trip to Indy, but it would be nice if they started making the rolls a little more normal sized. Got some fried rice to take home, no complaints about that. Both portion size and quality were very good.

Great Japanese restaurant in terre haute. The sushi was reasonably priced and tasted delicious. Server checked on the table often and staff were friendly. Restaurant was clean and modern.

We got the lunch special (your choice of three of the cheaper rolls for $15) and it was a really good experience! The sushi was fresh and delicious, each piece with a good flavor profile. The eel and avocado roll was exceptional. Our server was perfect - there when we needed her and not when we didn't. What most impressed me, though, was that I forgot my takeout box, and, when I called them 90 minutes later, they had set it aside for me to come back and pick up! So thoughtful. We will definitely be back for another special occasion.

Amazing! Freshest sushi we have ever had. Jack our chef is awesome. Absolutely loved our dinner here. First time here and we will definitely be coming back.

Come on guys.... I literally spent 60 bucks on door dash to get some high quality sushi and instead I got Walmart quality. The sushi rolls all fell apart as soon as I went to pick them up. The ginger was stiff, and stale and had some sort of white stuff caked all over it. I started eating the rolls thinking it might just be an appearance thing and the rolls would be fresh. No...... Not even close. Immediately started feeling sick. I'm sure the experience is better when you go in but as far as ordering to go is concerned it seems as if whoever prepared this dish doesn't mind not putting in an effort due to lack of accountability. Somebody please talk to the staff about this. I'm legitimately sick
