I've always loved this place. Took my fiance there for breakfast for the first time. I have been there maybe three or four times. The food is always delicious and fresh and the wait staff is excellent. I give it a two-star rating because the meal I chose from the menu was a sandwich with french fries potatoes and something else. Soup was included and said no substitutions. So when the waitress came to take our order I said oh I see it says no substitutions. She said oh that's just for the soup not for the fries. I said well what else do you have and she told me there were tater tots and onion rings and she didn't tell me it would cost extra. So I said oh I think I'd like to have the onion rings for a change. She said okay. Our orders came and I think I had about 8 onion rings. When the bill came I saw there was an extra $2 charge for the onion rings. We left a generous tip about 18%. And I complained nicely at checkout. The girl behind the counter checking us out I said oh yes it's more for what you ordered. Another waitress came to the counter and overheard and I said well we were not told that there would be an extra charge. That waitress said well your waitress should have told you she's supposed to. Just beware when you go there triple check that what you're ordering will not be upcharged. It's not that I didn't like the food because it was delicious. It's the general principle of being told one thing and charged for another. Nobody offered to take the $2 off our bill. I didn't press the issue because I didn't want to make a scene and I realize it's only $2. But think of how many other people have just handed over the bill and paid without looking or asking. I'm not going back sorry guys.
Don't miss this side of the road gem. Looks can be deceiving. Nestled off at the side of the road amidst white gravel stands what looks like a house turned restaurant. Once inside, you are greeted by a friendly staff and homey environment. The menu has plenty to offer. They make fresh homeade soup every day. I had the vegetable beef. It was absolutely awesome. It did not have a heavy salt flavor leaving you taste the complexity of each vegetable as wells as the beef. The spicy hamburger was made fresh and not from a press with fresh toppings. The food here is awesome with friendly service. Prices are comparable to other restaurants on town. Food quality is better.
The best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. The Venetian with jalapeños is my go to. Great service and the staff make you feel like they’ve been your friend for years. The food and hospitality here are incomparable. I highly recommend you stop in and see it for yourself!! God bless.

Crew has changed since fire at north location. I ordered a meal I have had many times, but the staff had made changes. I told my waitress that I didn't like the change. I was told they were trying to be more classy. Told basically that I didn't understand refunded and told if I didn't like the changes I could go elsewhere. I had eaten there probably 3 x a week and basically told I wasn't classy enough to eat there anymore. I guess right now they have enough business. That didn't used to be the case. Might lose business again. Shame for the change from the manager down.
Amazing food. The staff are super friendly. They treat you like you're one of the family. Keep up the amazing work guys and gals. I'll definitely be coming back.
Delicious food, helpful friendly staff. Highly recommend! You can tell they give out good quality food across board. A large, varied menu so there is something for every taste! Making this a regular dining spot for sure!
I gave them 5 stars because in 12 years their biscuits and gravy were the best I have had in Indiana. The omelet isn't bad but I perfer the added ingredients are separate from the eggs not mixed in them adding it so they are completely inside. Great atmosphere and friendly environment. A place to take children of all ages for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Food and service has always been excellent. Love eating there and especially supporting small businesses.
The only restaurant I ever went to and cleaned my plate! Awesome waiter and service! Recommend 100%
