Great bar, even better people. Bill and Jerry are always so great, and Mary is an exceptional bartender! We had our wedding at The Lasalle, and the Hideaway blew us away with the bar service. You won't regret using them for your wedding if you're holding it at The Lasalle!

Went to the Hideaway Bar at the The LaSalle to have drinks with friends after dinner. Witnessed the owner Jerry Roberts completely drunk, violent temper regarding a young lady asking to use the bathroom. He began to curse, yell, get in her face mind you this young lady is outside the bar in the building and simply asked if it was possible to use the bathroom. He proceeded to carry on cursing talking about people etc. after doing some research on this guy he has assault charges against him and was in jail. We will never patron there again. Not one person was asked to leave the building. The young lady was never asked to leave, after speaking with her parents she stayed with friends in the building. We were assisting the young lady. The police were called because Jerry Roberts was drunk and belligerent. No solidity to any of the paragraph below. We got the girls name and spoke to her parents to make sure she was ok. What a horrible situation for a teenage girl who simply asked to go to the bathroom. Jerry Roberts does not own the building nor the bathrooms. Bathrooms are not apart of the bar. They are downstairs in the building. Let’s clarify. Since the paragraph below in the response is very twisted. Of course the owner is going to lie. The whole Bar witnessed Jerry Roberts drunk, violent anger temper. More information my husband and I discovered. In public records he has 3 restraining orders against him by woman. Sick man. Please do not patron this establishment. Hideaway Bar! Simple solution would have been to say there are no public restrooms. We don’t care about Real America whoever they are or your cover up. You need mental help/AA/ anger management course. Your behavior as a Bar owner is absolutely unacceptable. What an embarrassment to South Bend. I hope you don’t have children. You were cursing, belligerent and aggressive behavior with an innocent young girl over a restroom is despicable and ugly. Be a kind human. Approximate age of girl is 15/16yrs old. Attends South Bend School District.There were no signs posted anywhere regarding Restrooms. Another lie. If so the young lady clearly can read. Jerry Robert’s, my husband and I have children if this was my daughter all of South bend will know not to be involved with you. Looks like he has hit and beat up woman before he will do it again. Concerned for the people that come in contact with you. We were told there are computer generated signs with blue painters tape stating bathrooms are for commercial tenant. So as we stated the response is all lies. No signs were ever up in the building. We confirmed they were just posted today. According to the young girls parents. Jerry Roberts is a sick human being Arguing with a teenage girl who asked about a bathroom.

Was visiting SB on a work trip from Chicago. This pace is awesome. Loved the feel and vibe, felt like home. And, the owner / bartender was such a lovely human being. If your in SB and your not having drinks here then you should be. Skip the hotel bars & pretenders. The Hideaway is the place.
