So to start, we say for almost ten minutes before anyone even came to get our order. I understand places are short staffed, as I own a bar, but at least come over and let me know you see us there and someone will be over as soon as they can. Then, we give our drink and food order so they don't have to come back twice to get our orders, then we never see her again for reills nothing. My dish I ordered comes with onions, the pot roast stroganoff, which I love and get every time I am near a Perkins, but this place served it horribly. I have never tasted anything so bad. Onions where an after thought, cold and just thrown in the dish, it was dry and zero flavor. I had to hunt someone down to order a piece of pie, which was amazing, but as you can see by the picture that's how it came out. The waitress just lightly tossed it on table with no explanation as to why my piece looks like that. For all I knew, it fell on the floor and they just scrapped it up, who knows. After really inspecting it, I decided to try it. I will never stop at this one again. Oh and beat part, as I'm paying the manager asks me how everything was I said not good at all. She never says another word to me at all. Doesn't why etc. I will still go to any other Perkins as I have never had such an awful experience.
I really enjoy this restaurant. The staff is so pleasant and they also seem to always offer opportunities to school age students from the community. The desserts offered are delicious and they offer a great variety. Nice variety of cakes pies and danishes. Nice menu with food that reminds you of home. Restroom is kept clean. Yes, five thumbs up??
Sam & I normally love Perkins, but the visit to this location could have been much better. The server came to our table, was very friendly and got our order put in fairly quickly. Then we waited, and waited and waited even longer. The server didn't come back to our table until the food was delivered. We noticed at least 2 other tables get seated and food delivered before or order was delivered to our table. When the food was FINALLY brought out, it looked like they just slapped it together very quickly. Our server offered no explanation or apology as to why the food took so long and when I went to pay the bill, the manager was running the cash register. She did not ask me how our meal was and seemed to be distracted because she was ringing up items for one of the hosts at the door.
1st time here. Bakery items looked great. However....Pick up order was 15 min after proposed time. Restaurant only had 3 tables, so I doubt it was because of being busy. Meat was rubber, potato was cold, asparagus was over cooked. Taste wasn't worth the cost. Service was friendly though, but with lack of empathy for the delay.
Very disappointed from my most recent visit. It started on a Saturday night with a hold on the phone for a carry out order for 10mins. No one throughout that time picked up the phone to let me know it was busy and they hadn’t forgotten about me. I never got ahold of anyone after I was put on hold so I hung up and ordered online.I got to the restaurant and a very nice young girl help me also buy some muffins. I grabbed my food and took it home. When I got home, I found that my soup was very small and container was slightly bent up. I also noticed my pie was completely melted. The potatoes had gravy and we ordered them without. I called to let them know that my $5 soup was very small and my pie was melted. They said the soup was the right size and they could not refund the pie because I bought it through their online ordering site! I only ordered online because of the 10 min hold. They said I would replace it but that I had to come all the way back to the store. Here’s the worst part and the biggest reason I took the time to write my review. My poor sick boyfriend went to close up the soup I got him to help him feel better and the container EXPLODED. Soup was everywhere. Not only was it expensive for not a lot of soup but they didn’t even put it in a good container! Well, I guess at least there wasn’t as much soup to clean up.Anyway the only reason it’s not a 1 star is the muffins were awesome and the young girl was nice. The older lady was unhelpful and unempathetic.
It takes alot for me to leave a bad review. As a rule of thumb I'm understanding and I normally leave a 20% tip even if the service isn't that great. However it was terrible. We sat down and ordered the waitress was there right away to get us drinks and our order. Both my wife and I had ordered the same thing. The Triple egg dare ya but mine with a side of cheese. After that first encounter we didn't see our waitress again until some our food arrived about 15 minutes later. My drink had been empty for almost the entire time. but I waited and asked for a refill when she was there giving us the food and also told her that we were missing some of the food we ordered. My wife never got her pancakes I never got my side of cheese. We waited for about 10 more minutes, I still never got a drink and my our missing food still wasn't there. So I asked a different person for a manager because our waitress still hadn't come back. We ended up eating the food when that person I asked for a manager came back and told us the manager wouldn't come see us and that they were too busy even though I told her what the issue was. It's not so much the waitress not being very good but the fact the manager pretty much told us they don't care if we had bad service and didn't even get our food. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I paid for the food I didn't receive left no tip and left.
Seated immediately and was asked if we could sit at a table. Saw booths open but, no big deal. Our server said something indecipherable but did not offer us coffee or anything else. Then the server passed us 6 times without saying a word, got beverages for a couple at the booth across from us and took their order. Cleaned one booth and then passed us again to throw her cleaning rag onto another table from a few feet away. The server then looked at us and walked into the kitchen to converse with a different staff and this is where she was when we left. Several minutes in a mostly empty section at breakfast time. Fortunately we found a great place down the street.
Perkins will be a regular stop for us after the great breakfast we had. The pies are absolutely top-notch. The peanut butter pie and the coconut cream pie are the real deal! Definitely made from scratch and the best ingredients. You could taste the vanilla in the pie! I will keep going back to Perkins just for the pies. Keep up the good cooking. Very nice interior also and cozy.
Always clean, good service (Thank you, Trina our waitress) and good selections on the menu. Our group enjoyed their lunch, and the bakery goods available or to go were a special treat!
Omg. This was our first time eating at perkins and we will definitely be coming back. I ordered the triple egg fee you and my husband the steak quesadillas. He’s still saying how good the breakfast is. And the price was reasonable. The lady at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. This is a must try you won’t be disappointed..
