First time I went in was Aug. Of 1983. I ordered pancakes and bacon, coffee, and oj. It was my first workday at plant #8 at AMGENERAL. I was on a job painting the old qtr. ton mail trucks. Lots of layoffs,me quitting because of the massive time off work and 2 healthy payouts $10. a hour cuts. Nobody makes enough for a loss of $400. a week.I used the Kitchenette as my go to breakfast stop. So the story starts with breakfast in 83 and ends with lunch in 2016 December. I retired bruised, beaten blown out back but my Dad said work for a piece of pension pie. So I made it and Kitchenette made it. Good Luck in the Future,Dennis

Food was good as always. But.......DONT ORDER THE GRITS!!you'll be lucky to get half a cup full...I thought it was a joke.."it waent".I'm like are you serious? They said yes....Don't order grits or you will be very upset..So it would literally cost about $9 to fill up that little Styrofoam cup with grits..

Had a great breakfast for a good price! Service was wonderful. Highly recommend.

about 4 of us usually come every Saturday or Sunday after we get out of work in the morning cheap breakfast chill talk about than I have some jokes laugh well we went in there this morning my best friend and her boyfriend both ordered 8 oz sirloins that when they got their supposed sirloins it was pork steak then they tried to say that they pulled it out of the freezer and it was a New York strip well let me tell you something I ain't never seen a New York strip that look like a pork chop I am very upset we were told after after we gave the lady our tip the lady at the grill looked at us and told us we were no longer allowed to come back because my best friend told her that that was not a steak and she was not paying for steak what it was a pork chop or a pork steak wasn't happening so we got kicked out then we were told we weren't allowed to come back with the attitude and how we were treated this morning I won't be back that's a definite

Come on, this place has been around for years. Either you've been there or you've heard of it. Good food, reasonable prices, friendly staff, great service and friendly regulars. If you're looking for a great little dinette, greasy-spooon, neighborhood coffee shop, this is the place. And I highly recommend the omelettes!

My mom is a regular there. I had lunch with my mom today. Waited 1/2 hour to get waited on. The waitress was rude to the customer at the booth by me. She was rude to me. I almost left, but my mom wanted me to Stay. Then A family came in and started moving a couple of tables together and the waitress got rude with them and they left. The waitress acted innocent and the cook defended her. I asked for the owners phone number and the cook said we don't do that here. I said the owners need to know the truth. She said I know the truth. The truth is your waitress is slow and rude. She needs to be fired and I will never step foot in that restaurant again.

Great place in south bend to eat good vibes great food awesome employees very Respect ✊ top best things to get Jumbo sandwiches and a Philly steaks ??????✅

While the server was nice and the food was good compared to the price, we spent about an hour waiting for it to be prepared.

Stopped by around 12pm.. Waited about 15 mins for any service.. Even a recognition of some sort would have been nice. Nothing. Left without ordering anything. And who doesnt accept credit cards in this day and age??
