Manager was rude & unprofessional when I asked for a refund because my food was disgusting & hard . He was going back and forth with me about it being perfectly cooked when it wasn’t. I definitely wouldn’t recommend them to anyone !

Used to drive from Elkhart to go here in the very early 90's. It was so good. Then it changed. The sauce went from awesome to Open Pit, the ribs and tips went from tender to tough, no matter what time of day we went in. The fries went from being nicely done to raw. Could never get sauce on the fries. This was after the son took over. Never could get coleslaw. I ask nicely, and wait patiently, and always spent a minimum of $50, to be treated very rudely for food that was barely edible. Still tried a few times when we lived around the corner hoping that one day, we would get lucky with quality. Nope. Not once. Tried giving feedback, was told to take it or leave it. . .so I left it. A loyal customer for decades is worthless, as they are riding on their parent's reputation.
What barbecue place doesn't have ribs at 7pm on a Friday? Unfortunately this has become a regular thing. They have messed up my order the last three times. No sauce on fries or tips cut fine even though I paid extra. The last time I ordered a polish sausage and received a chopped meat (pulled pork?) sandwich. I keep saying never again and my family keeps sending me back only to be disappointed again.
Best BBQ around. Best BBQ sauce I have ever had and the ribs/tips are amazing. Get the Frankies Choice.
BEST!! Can't compare it to any other place, because there are no other places to compare Frankies BBQ too because they are that GOOD! Great service, Great workers, Great cooks. Professional. This family has to be VERY proud of themselves for being so successful and so prideful in what they do. And what they do is make the BEST BBQ sauce and Rib Tips around.
Called ahead to order 2 pans 24hrs in advance got there before closing paid Mr.Trotter he told me order would be ready next day at opening arrived to pickup my paid for order of 2 pans of ribs to take back to indy for my staff. Arrived at Frankies showed the paid receipt employees respond with we didn't know anything about having the big order ready the owner ain't told us nothing, now we had to wait through lunch rush another hours so they could warm my order up in the grill/oven. Pre-order paid for and nothing was ready. It's a shame employees don't care about customer service. Once order was ready I was already late in my return to indianapolis to feed my employees 2hours.
This is the only place I'll go outta my way for! I live in the middle of niles and will drive in a snow storm for these ribs.I remember dad saying he bringing ribs home, we knew it meant he was goin to Frankie's. Thanks for the memories and good good ribs
The ribs are very good. I really like half slab ribs.....Firerrrr. Oh and Sean and I have the same birthdays! Everything is delicious try it.
