Very eclectic menu, but everything we had was delicious! They were out of quite a few items when we visited, so we ended up getting an unusual combo of kimchi fried rice (spicy and flavorful), wings (great smokey flavor) and BBQ (brisket was decent, pastrami was awesome). Fun beer flights to go with it, and a great atmosphere right by the water. Would definitely go back!

They have great beer, though the food I ordered was not my fav and I was not a fan of the layout/atmosphere. Was very loud and seating seemed a bit funky with a large shared booth. I will say when I saw other peoples dishes come out, it looked much more appetizing than what I ordered. So maybe worth a second try.

Pretty cool underground vibe! Beer was good. Not a great variety of lagers, pilsners… but if you like stouts and porters the list was pretty good. Food was better than “bar” food. Brisket was legit. Would certainly go there again.

I barely write reviews but this place was so good that I couldn’t have others not know! l am traveling in town and I’m so glad that I picked this place. I had a flight of beer which was Amazing. Then On to the SMOKE. I chose three different meats which is some of the most tender fall apart meat I’ve ever ordered. Potato salad and Brussels sprout mix was so original. And the dipping sauces are nothing like I’ve had before.

I was impressed by fantastic beer and stellar food upon my initial visit a few years ago. However, more recently, I’ve found that the beer is acceptable, but the food has taken a turn for the worse. My last few visits have been met with very little flavor, low quality ingredients, and remarkably unappetizing entrees. The appetizers (or beginnings as listed on the menu) have been the only redemption for the kitchen on my last 3 visits. Service is a bit spotty, but acceptable more often than not.

I visit this restaurant fairly regularly with my family. I enjoyed their food, drinks, and the atmosphere. Last visit however was interesting. We went inside with masks and as usual planned to take them off after seating. We were seated upstairs away from everyone and no one else was around. I did not mind anyway. Main seating area was busy but had several empty tables. I did not know what to make out of their gesture. I am not sure they thought we are unvaccinated or our masks made them irritated. They were friendly and good service as they usually do.The last experience still baffles me.

This is one of the best and most consistent restaurants I’ve ever been to. My husband and I are at least once a week! They brew great beer, make amazing (seriously amazing) food, and have knowledgeable staff. There’s a great view of the river from every room in the restaurant and they have great outdoor seating both upstairs and downstairs. Definitely one to try.

Ewe will Love Crooked Ewe!!I flew into South Bend International Airport and after receiving my bags and picking up my rental car I was starving. I had Crooked Ewe in my iPhones GPS so I could go straight there from the airport. When I got there it was raining and the parking lot was almost full. Please note that people come and go, so I only had to wait a few minutes for multiple parking spaces to free up. I walked from the parking lot to the entrance and went in.Upon my arrival, and just coming from Ontario, I was the only one aside from the staff wearing a mask. It seemed so surreal after being in lockdowns and having to wear a mask everywhere you go in Ontario. I made my way to the bar and noticed one side had no one sitting there and sat down. The Bartender/Beer aficionado came over right away and recommended some of the seasonal beers to me, and helped me choose food for my dinner and the best beers to go with my meal. He also left me some samples to try out while I was deciding.Food and Drink for This Evenings Meal.Beers ( Brought some home too )Glasgow Butcher Scotch AleVital IPAWendigo American StoutRelief v3FoodFRIED RICE - Caramelized Brussel sprouts, Brined pork belly, Kimchi and Cilantro, Edamame, topped with a one hour egg and tso sauce.Smoke ( Meat Platter ) - Brisket, Shoulder and Pastrami as the meats with elder bread sourdough, accoutrements (bacon & heritage potato salad , Brussels & pork belly, house pickles with bbq sauce). The Beer was very well made, I've had beer at hundreds of Brew Pubs all over the US and Canada. Indiana's Craft beer scene is thriving ( just sayin' ) and Crooked Ewe is right up there with the best. The food was very well made and presented, and not one item in any of the dishes was disliked. The Bartender did a great job matching beers with the foods.Inside is a really well designed dining room, cozy and spacious so you don't feel cramped and you still are a comfortable distance from others. The bar area has seats spread out but like any bar you move the stools closer if you're with friends. At the bar there is a large window that overlooks the St Joseph River, giving the view a zen vibe whiles your drinking or eating. Crooked Ewe is a fine establishment and Ewe will love it too.

A finer dining experience than most breweries in the area but with the same expectations of fresh food with a wide variety of great selections for people with all tastes. The beer selection is always satisfying with a few pleasant surprises from time to time.
