I love the freshness of their pizzas, and the salads are soooo good. I live in Chicago and will drive out to pick up a pizza. I'm not even a big fan of a lot of meat on pizza, but theirs is really tender and doesn't bother me at all.
We arrived about 9:15 last Saturday PM (4/2) we sat at a bar table , the bartender was quick and our order came pretty fast as well and the pizza was good as always. My complaint is that the bartender never came back to see if we wanted another beer, so at 9:45 he returned and I asked for another beer , he said no he already gave last call. I said to him, I still have a half of pizza to eat, he replied sorry we close in ten minutes. He never gave us last call and several people at the all had full beers . I guess he just wanted us to leave. This isn’t the first time this has happened, on another occasion I was at the bar eating and the same bartender asked me if I needed a box ever though I just started eating, he told me they were closing soon. If you want everyone out by ten you should stop seating at 9:00.
We order take-out form Tomato Bar often. There are lots of options, great variety of flavors, fresh and hot always. There are vegan options and they also have the most delicious gluten-free bread. The customer service is great too. We prefer to pick up because the dining room is little loud for us. But both, pick-up/drivee up and parking are very convenient1
They have such amazing pizza that I drive an hour and a 1/2 to get it. We also waited an hour and a 1/2 for a table and it was worth every minute. Do not miss out on the donuts especially the spicy ones
Glad they were able to adapt the pizza of the month to dairy free and gluten free!! It was so delicious
Well, the Tomato Bar in Valparaiso is pretty amazing, so I wanted to see if this place is equally amazing. It’s close to it, but I’d say the Valparaiso location takes the win. This location is an open concept for the most part and it was lit pretty bright. It was a bit cold, so I wasn’t too pleased with being comfortable through the duration of my visit, sadly. I sat down at a booth with my girlfriend and dog. I ordered a Diet Coke and we got a glass of Silver Gate Chardonnay wine, which was a white one. We ordered Bruschetta as an Appetizer and for our main dinner we got a 14” Magic Potion, which had a Red Sauce Base, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Spinach, Mozzarella, Provolone, Feta, Italian Sausage, Roma Tomatoes, and Pesto Swirl. The Diet Coke was a good size and unlimited refills. It was good. I didn’t care for the Silver Gate wine too much. It was more on the dry side to me. The Bruschetta had a nice toast to it and it was loaded with tomatoes and cheese! It was alright, but the bread size was on the smaller side. The Magic Potion pizza looked a bit intimidating with all the green going on, but it turned out to be a shocking, delicious piece! I was very surprised by the appeal to taste ratio. I really couldn’t stop eating it. Sadly, I blasted through it and there it was, empty. The service was pretty good. Our waitress got us everything we needed and she was positive. Overall, I enjoyed the location in Valparaiso a bit more, but I’d return here as it is only a few minutes away from me.
The avocado pita wrap is literally delicious! The service was decent, the food was great! Definitely worth the trip!
This is probably one of the top local restaurants in the region. Every category on the menu is great and has something to offer. My usual way to go is taking advantage of the Pizza of the Month, which is consistently pretty delicious. They have a handful of micro-brews on tap & support the local brewers. Vibe is very chill most of the time & the staff is always friendly - it’s a perfect pizza heaven.
Always go here when I am in town. Amazing pizzas, salads, sandwiches, and breadsticks. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Place action figures all around the place for kids to spot.
The Mediterranean salad is the absolute best salad. All of the salads have substance and taste great. The pizzas are also well done and have many interesting topping combinations. The atmosphere at the restaurant is cool, although a little loud with the open kitchen area. It definitely has a local brewery vibe.
