From the time we walked in we were made comfortable and the staff was very friendly, welcoming and courteous. My appetizer (lightly breaded calamari rings) was excellent. My wife had a basic meal (cheddar cheese burger) which she enjoyed immensely. I had the seafood sampler plate and it was wonderful, cooked just right and fresh. Even the side of beets was just what the doctor ordered (increased Nitric Oxide production which is a plus). Really tasty. Our server Claire was friendly, attentive and very helpful. Kudos to her and also the young man who greeted us (very pleasant and friendly as well-hope you got to play golf the next day!). All the staff gets an A+. The ambience was perfect-serene, cozy and inviting. Definitely looking forward to returning soon and we will be telling family and friends about this gem. Highly recommended, 5 ? +!!!

My wife and i were there Saturday with my wife's 96 year old dad.the food was great, we all enjoyed it.and the service was great to.thank you!!!

This place is a throw back in time. I understand that they recently changed hands in ownership. Please keep aesthetics as is. It reminds you of going out to dinner in the '70's as a kid. They still give out the relish trays of pickled beets and coleslaw. The staff couldn't be nicer. The waitress was so attentive and accommodating. And of course the food was wonderful! I usually get a steak, but tried their fried chicken recently and it was awesome! What a great and friendly place!

Went to Schererville Lounge for a meal last night; it did not disappoint. Food was great. Our waiter, Terry, was outstanding, as always. The Hostess, however, needs to use her “inside” voice. She was having a discussion with another person that was so loud we could not converse in our booth (in the bar) until their conversation was finished.

Ordered 2 New York Strip steaks. Nothing but fat and gristle. Crab legs were good. Waiter was excellent.

Lastnight 4 of us decided to try this place for dinner. The atmosphere was good people were friendly but anyone who thinks the food is great is wrong!. My husband ordered a t-bone they didnt have any so he ordered a new york strip instead. The food came the new york strip had very little flavor if any at all 1/3 of the steak was nothing but fat. The lake perch i ordered was so over cooked it was hard to chew. Lake perch should never be hard to chew. The salad was the best thing about this dinner. We may someday go back but certainly not for.perch or a steak.

Haven't been here for some time. Food was excellent. Service was outstanding. Never had a dirty dish on the table for more than 1 minute. Husband had lake perch and said it was perfect. I had the filet mignon and it was great. Just haven't been out but glad we went there for our first night out in a while.

This place has recently changed owners, and the new people are trying to spruce up the place, and trying to give it a fresh new look, which in my opinion, they are doing a great job. The staff was super friendly and down to earth local folks, so it definitely has a homey feel to it. The food was absolutely phenomenal, and the servings were very generously sized, we definitely needed to go containers. Try this place out, whether you just want a quiet place to have an adult beverage, or you're looking for an amazing meal! You won't be disappointed! And for all of you couples out there, this is a great place to consider, for date night also!

My family loves this place. Been five times and we haven't had a bad experience yet. We even bring our own butter because we like real butter for our crab plates. Yes they have real butter, but we kinda wipe them out! The waitresses are nice and attentive. We (8) of us plan to be there Dec 23....fingers crossed!

This was our fist time dining at this establishment. Reservations are preferred; it happened to be a spontaneous choice to come here so we were fortunate that they seated us right away without calling first. 20 minutes after we were seated, the restaurant was full of patrons. My wife and I had mixed reviews of our dining experience. The bread came out fresh and was accompanied with honeybutter. Two pre-salad plates were also served; even though this was a classic "supperclub" technique, they were very small portions which is not reminiscent of how those establishments served them. My wife had the crab leg special and loved it; the only downside was she had to request drawn butter. I had the Fisherman's platter and thought the variety of items was nice. Unfortunately the quantity and size of portions were very small compared to entrées at other establishments. I received two tender frog legs, two succulent quarter size scallops, two small shrimp, two medium sized lake perch and 1 piece of walleye that was smaller than the size of a deck of cards. The dessert choices were very minimal. Service was fair and the atmosphere was homelike. A nice gesture was made by one patron buying dinner for an elderly veteran.
