It's a good choice you pay a lot but you get a lot usually you need a to go box. They have a crazy selection of food a lot of prep work to be done but if they're willing to do it then I'm happy to eat it :-) as always it depends on which server you get if you get a good server than you have a great time if you don't then well you just paid $15 for eggs :-)
Fast service, good food, and clean. They are quick with everything here, as you would hope with a breakfast place. The portions are huge and should be enough for most. We had to wait a little for a table for 8 but service was awesome. It was pretty busy when we were there and everyone was focused on doing their job. No waitresses staring at their phones or hostess disappearing while people walked in. This is one of the better breakfast lunch places in the area with a pretty extensive menu too. Do yourself a favor and give it a shot.
I was taken aback when our server talked over our food continuously on our visit Monday. No coveting for long hair either.I was disgusted! I ate just a bit but then asked for take home boxes.The food is uncovered as they walk past all the guests with your plates slightly on top of one another and the servers are setting down plates talking in your face. I covered my food with my hands. You'd think she'd back off but she did not.( Even pre-covid I would think there was better sanitation practices in place. I heard of Sophias pre pandemic.) Unfortunately I would not and cannot with good conscience recommend to others because it appears sanitizing or droplet infection measures are not in place. In addition to that social distancing is not practiced.I shared with others my experience. They could not believe that the servers are so unsanitary. And that Sophia's seems to not care about the high potential of communicable infections spread in their establishment.It's too bad because the food is great.
We had the potatoe pancakes. They were delicious. Service was quick and friendly, even tho they were busy.I would recommend Sophia's Famous Pancakes as one of Schereville's great restaurants.I would have give 5 stars, but no one could answer why there was a 77 cent service fee!

Food is good but the prices are pretty high...they also charge you a fee if you use your debit card to pay with..Our charge was $.63 to process our card..I won't eat at places that charge me a card fee.
Best experience I have had! Service was friendly and on point! Food was priced right and portions were generous. Definitely worth the visit!
Received my food with a painted nail in it. Never coming back. I’ve gotten hair in it before too but was told that would never happen again. The fact that they allow employees in food service to have nails that fall off and chip is beyond me.
