Went here & ordered fried zucchini & mushrooms. There were 3 cars in front of me. Waited 17 minutes then get home and had the wrong order which was a gyro & I don't eat meat. Called & the girl was rude about it wanting me to drive back that night. Told her it will be another day. Did go back another day since she took my name to credit for it. The young kid working was really nice about it and got it right. It's happened before & shouldn't be that hard to double check orders.
Came for the Bosco Sticks and left disappointed. Didn’t even remotely look like the picture at all and was too crunchy. Soup was below average at best. Only thing decent was the Breaded Steak Sandwich.
Well, my brother-in-law recommended Pop's when I asked him where I could get a really good Chicago style Italian beef sandwich near his home. First surprise was that their dining room is not open. They might be one of the last restaurants to still be doing drive thru only. I had totally wanted to eat in the dining room, but that was not an option. So, I did the drive thru. I ordered the Chicago style Italian beef with an Italian sausage with juice, fries, and a Dr. Pepper. I received my bag and Dr. Pepper, and drove back to my brother-in-laws house which is about a ten minute drive to Lynwood, Illinois, I will admit I didn't look inside my brown paper sack before arriving back at his house. I most definitely should have done so. I was not very pleased after seeing what I was given. I did get my Italian beef and sausage sandwich, but instead of Italian juice/gravy, I was given a red sauce...may I mention, no sport peppers nor bell pepper nor giardiniera in site. Next problem...no fries were in the sack. Drive thru should not be rocket science as it is a one on one transaction. What I received tasted good, but I very much would have preferred receiving what I had ordered and paid for. I don't live in the Chicago area anymore, so it is easy for me to say...I will not be going to Pop's in Dyer anytime soon.
Absolute guarantee that if you order more than 3 items, one of them will be missing. Guess I should check my bag before driving off. Food good as always.
Arrived in the drive through at 8:31pm. According to their hours, they are suppose to be open until 9pm. There were also a few cars behind me waiting in the drive through. After waiting three minutes or so, I pulled up to the window only to find out they were closed. The young male employee motioned they were already closed? How disappointing after a long day and needing some dinner….. They lost some business tonight.
I Am Highly Disappointed An Disgusted. 4/20 I Placed An Order For 6.99 Italian Beef Dipped. Let Me Start Off Saying Not Once Did They Get My Order Wrong But TWICE. i Patiently Waited Further More After A LONG Rainy Day I Made It Home An Began To Eat To Find A Twist Tie In My BEEF.. This Is Unacceptable I Would Like My Entire Order Money Back. My Next Step Would Be Corporate An The Health Depaartment.
Called the dyer location because they mess up my order every single time. I am in the food service industry myself and understand how mistakes can happen from training/ being short staffed and still trying to get orders out so I NEVER COMPLAIN. Today on 4/5/22 at 4:59pm I went to the dyer location and spent $40. I always get a beef sandwhich and ask for mozzarella cheese with the bread dry and it’s never dry. Today was no different as my order was not to my request with the bread dry. But wait there’s more. I also ordered a super beef with sausage and got a beef with no sausage or red sauce. Seeing as I paid for this it should be on there. I called the store and was as polite as possible as I stated earlier MISTAKES HAPPEN. However I was met with a VERY unapologetic manager (Andrea) who kept addressing me as hun which I find highly disrespectful. I am not her Hun. Furthermore I explained I understand mistakes happen but asked to be credited for two beef sandwhiches as I had just gotten home and didn’t have time to drive 25 minutes back to the store. She told me no and I would need to bring the food back. I explained to her if I brought the food back I want a full refund and she said that’s fine are you gonna come back? I just find this highly disrespectful and not how you deal with customers in this industry. Let’s all remember without customers you wouldn’t be there and neither would anyone else. It’s not the biggest deal but when your met with someone like Andrea who’s representing your company it is. Non of my staff would ever treat a guest like this and neither should POPS franchise. Please correct this immediately and or give her some more training on how to deal with the public and make a situation right. That’s guest service 101. Also when a guest requests your managers name or asks how to get a hold of him don’t get nasty. He’s not the president and I’m sure he would much rather have someone call him than post about his business on reviews.
The hamburger and fries was made fresh, was hot, and very tasty. The meatball sandwich was good--sauce was not over powering, the bun was fresh and meatballs tasted good. The lemon rice soup did not taste very lemony at all. There was a lot of chicken bits in it and the soup had a good flavor and was hot. The oyster crackers went well with the soup. There just wasn't a lemon flavor to the lemon rice soup.
Food is delicious. The Super Beef is awesome. I love their hot peppers. They're not too spicy and they have celery slices and give them a crunch.
Ordered Chicago style hot dogs and received plain hot dogs. Breaded zucchini was so overdone it was almost burnt. Fries were cold. Won't be going back to this location ever!
