First time here with family, Upon ordering the girl at register was nice but didnt know much about menu and offerings so we had to figure out on our own. Then after ordering, I kindly asked how long it usually takes for order to be out, but received a response with an attitude from the older lady wearing a blue polo, by what looked like a supervisor, I felt like I was at Harolds chicken in the south side Chicago.. Ruined my experience, especially when my son asked me why she was mad. Rude people dont get love!!
i have been to McAllister's Deli a time or 2 in my hometown of St. Louis.Decided i wanted something different, and went here. And wow, not only was the service great, the food was great. As a vegetarian its hard to find good options when you go out for food. However, that Four Cheese Melt, and Veggie spud does the job.Not to mention great tea (try the peach its delicious), and some good dessert even (for cheat days ?), all around great........
good service and good food
First time going to this location for lunch yesterday and more than likely, my last. Whoever the manager was running the shift yesterday at this location was horrible! She is rude and VERY unprofessional. I've managed a restaurant before and I would NEVER allow somebody who is that unprofessional to work, let along run my business. But on the flip-side, the food was great.
I love deli food and have never been here. I decided to order the French dip. It was a tasty but not perfect. The beef was perfect, tender and well seasoned. The bread was the problem for me as it was too soft, it definitely could have been more dense and crusty to stand up to the dipping. The air jus was delicious as was the cucumber tomato salad. My only issue with the air jus was the dipping cup. The sandwich didn’t quite fit into it so dipping was a built sloppy. I would return but try a different sandwich or different bread. Because the beef was great and the staff knowledgeable and friendly I gave it 5 stars.
The food was excellent! I had a grilled chicken salad that was large enough for 2 people. It was very fresh and delicious. My only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the staff seemed to be a bit unorganized, which made the wait longer. But the food made the wait worth it.
I really love this deli their food is very very good. But when you order online and have things delivered be careful because things can get missed. When you try to call them up it is impossible to get a hold of a live human being. Over 15 minutes then I was put on hold and transferred to a recording. Did not help at all. Very very horrible customer service. But they do have good food LOLI realize it is the doordash driver that forgot my drink, they really need to double check their customers orders while they are picking them up for delivery. I do appreciate all that they do.
Ate at this location Tuesday evening around 6pm. Got the grilled chicken salad. A few hours later I got extremely ill. ? Vomiting. Continued on for a day. Something just didnt seem right with the salad. I shouldnt have even eaten it. Called store to inform them they need to evaluate their lettuce and chicken. I had to take the next day off work. I won't be returning.
Always prompt and friendly. Love the great quality of their food. Great place to stop for a leisurely lunch or snack even. The tea is always on point. The chocolate chip cookies are perfectly baked every time.
I placed an order online which was my first experience with this business. I received notification of when my order would be ready and proceeded to the restaurant to pick-up my order. I waited in line and when I approached the register, I was abruptly told to move over there for pickups. Again, this was my first time there so, I was unaware of the process. There was a young woman taking orders to the tables and the other one seemed to be working on bagging the to-go meals. There were people who had just placed orders getting their order and one order was still on the tray not being bagged. I asked if that was my order because it had been sitting there since I arrived. The bagger rudely said what's your name? As I went to tell her that it wasn't under my name but my Google account she repeated with her back to me your name what's your name? Then cam over once she realized I was getting upset and said is this you? All of that could have been avoided if she had turned around and engaged me. She then proceeded to throw my food containers around so I asked for her manager. She kept talking smart and said it was the person with the red or green shirt. I asked for a refund and they said they don't give refunds. So to shorten this long story, I will not go there again ewven though I was given some expired coupons for my next visit. The manager said they would still honor them, I don't believe it.
