Normally don't make reviews but beyond upset about the horrible customer service we just received. We called to place a to go order and specifically asked several times to clarify that the sausage in the omelet was not linked sausage with casing. As we just wanted chunked sausage. As my husband cannot have the casing due to medical issue. She kept saying it was chopped. We again said as long as its not the links chopped. When he got home and we began eating it was in fact linked sausage just cut up. So of course I call to make a complaint and ask for them to remake the order. The manager explained she was sorry for the confusion she would make another one and we can come get it then proceeded to say the total was $9 something......are you kidding me!!! They wanted me to pay for a mistake they made after we specifically explained what we wanted over and over. I get mistakes and misunderstandings happen but to make us pay for one of the meals you screwed up is absurd!! Even after explaining this wasn't like we didn't explain we clearly didn't get what we ordered. She stated cause they don't actually have an omelet with chopped sausage patties that the lady was confused....again not my fault and not what I ordered. She still expected us to pay. Will NEVER eat there again!!!
I have been going to Tates since they opened. I have never had an experience like I had today. The front end staff were extremely rude. We went with a large party, no problem with waiting, and they requested we make space to accommodate the employees moving through, which was understandable. We made the room and had family members wait in their vehicles, however one female employee with glasses continued to insist my party wait outside. No other individuals were asked to wait outside or in their vehicles and I am unsure why we were continuously asked, but I can surmise why we were singled out.When telling the female employee with glasses we were cancelling our party request she replied “good, now we can seat the other parties.” She refused to provide her name. Because of this we will not be visiting Tates anymore - Word of mouth is a powerful tool. They have great food and HAD great staff, but one bad apple ruins it for everyone. Norm - I appreciate how you have served my family over the years. There is a clear opportunity for the professional development of that employee.
Tate’s is one of the best places for breakfast or lunch. Great people, great food. They are simply the best. Great food, great portions and the staff is outstanding, friendly and on the spot. They all make you feel at home, just pay your bill. haha.. Honestly you won’t find a better place around. The place is spotless and fresh. Food you'll come back for over and over again. They are a solid “10”.
Fast and attentive service throughout the meal. The breakfast was great and they even have the heavy, whole grain bread I prefer; that's a first for me!!!
My eggs tasted spoiled and were filled with a handful of bacon bits. Worst bacon and cheese omelet I have ever had. Hash was not cooked all the way either. Rude service staff as well. Go to Portage House Of Pancakes it'smuch better!
Horrible food. Top 3 worst breakfast i have had. Nothing worse the soggy hashbrowns and really fatty bacon. So called biscuits were horrible too. Never again . No stars
Nice cozy little spot.. food is great and plenty of it. Reasonable prices. Staff is very courteous and friendly.Had a great patio section on those nice summer days. Plenty of shade so your not out under the hot mid-day sun.Highly recommend you visit here.
This place is pretty chill good food for a good price. Give it a shot! The waiters are cool. And the atmosphere is a lil bit on the upper middle class side so like a good place for a first date or just because you want good grub in the am
Great food, excellent service! Busy on weekend mornings, so get there early to beat the rush, but worth the wait if you want to sleep in. Would 10/10 recommend the cinnamon raisin bread (was told it’s only available on weekends, but it’s amazing!)
A great breakfast destination. Fantastic biscuits and gravy and sunny side up eggs. I love the atmosphere and the staff are great. Always checking on us and making sure we don’t need anything. You gotta try!
