Great food! And yummy drinks as well!
Bar service is awful.. I don’t normally comment really bad and worth sharing to hopefully improve service … the last six times I’ve been here it’s awful
friendly staff. I like the prompt service.
Cold and rainy outside, I needed something good for lunch. Good choice for their chips and salsa (regular and picante) gave me some heat then the Caldo de res bowl was just what the doctor ordered for the weather outside. The Sangria was okay but a tad sweet. I’m gonna have to come back and try other stuff on the menu.
Nice place.. been in Portage for quite awhile.. established business. Nicely decorated, well lit. Had plenty of seating. Usually not over crowded , depends if it's a holiday.Food is excellent, plenty of it..large menu. Has a full bar and a separate banquet to for private parties. Price of food is reasonable. Dinners are between $15 and $18.You can order pick up if you prefer to take it home. Don't believe they have delivery. Access for handy cap, but entry doors might be a bit tight. Dinning area is tightly congested with tables so if your in a wheelchair might be a bit difficult to move around.Still this is a good place to try Mexican meals at a good price.Enjoy " Viva .... Pleasantly surprised, had great experience. Good food and service
I've tried this place twice now and got the carne asada California style meal both times. It's excellent. The meat has so much flavor and the bacon wrapped jalapenos are a tasty bonus.
Not sure why this place is rated 4.2 stars. The drinks are syrupy sweet, the food is terribly under seasoned, and the service is lackluster. This is also yet another Mexican restaurant that is “authentic” and has terrible rice and beans. Won’t be back.
Haven't been here in a while, strawberry mango frozen margarita was not frozen ,somewhat melted. Carnitas were a little hard. Beans were not that good. My wife had the Carne asada, ordered medium well, came out medium, she likes a little char on this dish. I don't eat rice, but my wife does and she didn't like them here. Overall not the dining experience we have had here befor. Sat at bar and bartender was friendly and efficient.
Terrible service. The server felt the need to throw out her opinion out of nowhere when it was not all needed or asked for. It was an attack for no reason. Total Karen wannabe. She was ignorant for no reason. Even worse was the food. Whatever you do do not get the chorizo unless you like Indian food and or middle eastern spices. It would have been fine if that is what we were looking for maybe? But not In a burrito! It was the worse burrito I've ever had. Couldn't eat it.
