Never open during their posted open hours. Have tried several times & always closed.
Was very disappointed when sending a coworker to pick up lunch for us on 05-05-22, that we were forced to up the amounts of our orders because we were not allowed to order the usual lunch specials. My coworker was told the lunch specials were unavailable on that particular day. Check #32, at 12:27pm. We work hard for a living just like the people that work in your establishment and this is absolutely taking advantage of the public by price gouging.
Food was very bitter and tasted like orange soda !!!!!!!!! !
We waited for over 45 minutes never got our drinks and only had salsa and chips, didn’t even get to order our dinner, the lady never came back to our table even after asking other servers. Pretty sad excuse of a place this is why I go to Hobart! Portage el salto is trash and all of their servers! That place is so small and you have servers running around like their so over whelmed it’s honestly ridiculous!
First time going to El Salto and was excited to try it out! We were extremely disappointed with the following…1) We asked for more chips to finish the salsa we were given. There is a charge for more chips! No Thank You… I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that charges for chips. They’ll give you plenty of salsa but not enough chips.2) The three taco dinner ($16.00) did not come with rice and beans. Again…. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that does not offer rice and beans with a dinner (meal). You can purchase them for an additional fee.I’m not sure if each El Salto is independent but I will not be returning. First time will be the last time! There are so many other Mexican restaurants that have the same quality of food without all the additional cost for items that are regularly provided.
I was impressed by their quality of food. Every dish was prepared with simplicity, which is often underrated. I hope one day I can revisit this location.The margaritas were delicious as well.
oMg love it so much it has some of best Mexican food ever seen and this sever named Xochitl is great she was so quick with our food and we got to enjoy our for food I’m like 5 minutes ???????????????????????????
Food was very tasty and just plain amazing. Fernanda, our server, was such a pleasure. Would definitely recommend. So privileged to find this place, and it was not too busy on a Sunday afternoon. We’ll be back!
Was very short staffed when we sat down. Waitress was struggling a bit, and I was thinking oh no. However to my surprise food arrived fast. Price was good, food was amazing. I will definatly be back.
Always delicious always well made! This restaurant is one of our monthly favorites to visit. They come back over and over again because the food is delicious and the staff is amazing.
