6/15/2022 12:00PM placed our order at the drive through. When we received the food part of the order was incorrect. We told the drive through attendant. He said he couldn't fix the issue but we could order the corrected item and pay for it. This is the second time in a row our order was wrong here. ? ? sucks.....
At 3:40 on June 19th we placed an online order for curbside pickup at the Portage Park location. The order was confirmed by the “restaurant” at 3:43, and we arrived at the parking lot at the same time. At 4:05 I called the “restaurant” to advise them that we were waiting, just in case they had somehow missed our giant pickup truck. They asked my name and said “OK it’ll be right out.” At 4:20 my husband went inside– mind you the parking lot was completely empty at this time, and the drive-through was not particularly busy. My husband went to the counter just in time to hear them PUTTING MY ORDER IN. We waited FORTY FIVE minutes for a malt, a chicken sandwich, chicken strips, and a kids cone. Although the dining room was empty the kitchen and service areas were full of staff standing around talking to one another, hanging out and having a great time not filling orders. Nice “work” if you can get it, i guess. I don’t expect Dairy Queen to be the Dairy Queen of my childhood. I understand that standards have plummeted And I wasn’t surprised at the mediocre quality of the food. But if I’m ordering fast food, at the very least I expect it to be something approximating “fast”. As a family we are done with Dairy Queen. We will not be back to this location or any other.
3-4 employees sitting at the side by the restroom making a lot of noise & saying inappropriate things! Also, did not turn our 2 blizzards upside down! Would not go here, visit the Dairy Queen on central avenue in portage.
Just sat in line from 9:35-10:10 the horrible manager or whoever she was flings the door open and says we’re closed at 10:00 after the whole line of people were waiting the same amount of time as me. Here’s an idea. Turn the lights off at 9:45 instead of 10:00 if you’re going to not take care of the people in line. I also called before I went there to make sure they were open. I hate this Dairy Queen and unfortunately it’s the closest one to me. And don’t worry, I won’t be back to it. I think I finally learned my lesson. I’ll go to Chesterton Dairy Queen from now on.
The new burgers are decent, the cheese curds are amazing, and the chicken strips basket is top notch. As far as treats... I mean, it's DQ, how can you go wrong? My personal fav is the new mint girl scout cookie Blizzard, but you could close your eyes and point and still get something awesome!
Disappointing to say the least, usually a good experience with the food, not sure if tonight had to do with the fact I pulled up to the window to hearing a bunch of people screaming, but the food was well below average tonight. Fries and cheese curds were cold as if they were sitting for awhile, chili dog was also room temp at best, chicken strips were on the fatty/gristly side or just really chewy with a gross texture (which never happens btw), best part of the meal was the moolatte and blizzards. Don't think we will be back anytime soon, quite honestly feel like a refund is deserved but I doubt that will happen.
Slow service through the drive thru. They asked what kind of sauce I wanted for my chicken strips, but never gave me any.
Just off the road looking for something special. It was good but not impressive. No spoon for a Sunday.
The new fruity blast cone coating was great. However, blizzard prices are a bit high
Arrived 15 minutes til closing time. Instead of receiving my ordered sauces for my food I was handed a bag filled with bbq sauce then person walked back in and light went off
