Just moved to New Albany a few months ago and was overjoyed recently to discover, via random comment on social media, that I live near an honest-to-goodness ice cream parlor! I had the opportunity to visit Uncommon today with my parents and we each enjoyed a waffle cone. Friendly staff greeted us and there was ample seating. I will definitely be back (I live close by - how serendipitous) !
Found this place via a Google Maps search for ice cream since I was in the area. This place is cute and quirky with a great selection of ice cream. Service was top notch. I had the burnt butterscotch ice cream and it was heaven. Highly recommend this hidden treasure!!!
The new owners are very friendly and helpful. the ice-cream taste good and I like their interior design. They also have a cute second floor spot with lovely setups good for small gathering. We got the banana split and it was yummy. Plenty of flavors and toppings are available
So quaint! Awesome service- they are basically willing to combine whatever creation you want! Very yummy, fresh ice cream! Very adorable, I will definitely go back!
A charming, unique ice cream parlor with high quality ice cream and cheerful service!
Best place for ice cream in southern Indiana! it's served in tea cups and is the creamiest most delicious ice cream! super cute shop with quilts decorating the ceiling and mismatched chairs and tables. we love this place!
This is a really nice little ice cream shop. I got a flavor called "Kitty, Kitty Bang, Bang." I mean, who could resist that? It features raspberry ripple. Oreo cookie crumbles and chocolate chunks.I usually am disappointed when I try the more unusual flavors, but this was really nice..
Yes, I can, I just wasn't as impressed with what I got as I am when I get the same thing from similar places in the area. Also, the person serving just didn't seem like they wanted to be there or wanted to make anything for us. That was vibe I got. Then, when a customer came in right after us and asked for a shake, they were told they couldn't get one... while standing next to me... while I was holding my shake. The whole experience/vibe from start to finish was awkward and unwelcome. I may be back for another shot at it though, the people we were with like the place, so we might be back with them. Hope that helps.
Good variety of yummy ice cream, very cutely decorated & little cacti planted in antique tea cups etc for sale
This was a lovely ice cream shop in New Albany. The lady that owns the place was so nice and friendly. Not only is the ice cream great with excellent combinations of flavors, the price can't be beat. Also, we loved the inside decor. It was antique and old fashioned, and had an old time local ice cream shop atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
