I have been eating here since it was called Sportstime pizza back in the nineties. The current owners really raised the bar over the last many years by adding the brewing of their own beer. The beer is out of bounds and the food is as great as ever! This is my favorite place on earth, I was just here this evening and it was great as ever! Definitely a go to place if you're in New Albany.

Horrible carry out/pickup order service. Many people in the community love their pizza and love to support the New Albanian, (like myself), but their system of a limited number of carryout “slots” basically kicks anyone to the curb if they don’t fill up their 10 or so “available carry out slots” for the entire night. For some reason, it’s too much for them to handle if I want to call in and order a single pizza to-go, because they have already filled their queue for the night. I’ve honestly never heard of this being done anywhere else but frankly I’m insulted at how often I’m turned away from placing a pickup order, or told I’ll have to wait 2+ hours before it can be made.Very frustrating to try and be a loyal customer to a place that routinely turns away your business
Based on reviews we had read we decided to try this place out. We’re glad we did! When we arrived on a Thursday evening around 6:45 we were given a 15-30 minute wait time. We were seated after ten minutes. That’s good! We ordered the Pretzel Bites and Beer Cheese appetizer. Delicious! I would have gladly paid an additional dollar for fifteen bites instead of ten. They’re kind of small, but they ARE bites I guess. The cheese dipping sauce has just the right amount of spice. For drinks we had the Good Intentions and Dunwich Porter. Both were excellent. I highly recommend. Our pizza order was a medium Roundhouse with pepperoni, sausage, and bacon. Perfect amount for three people, including our ravenous son. The crust was thick and delicious, and there was lots of cheesy goodness! If we lived closer this place would be on our list of places to visit often. I highly recommend this small eatery!
The pizza here was good. The crust was ✨crunchy✨ while the middle was soft and gooey. The pizza here made my taste buds burst with all the flavours of banana pepper and cheese. Highly recommend for a casual lunch or dinner ??✨??? ??
Stopped by with a group of 18 on Saturday night fresh off of an all day volleyball tournament. They are not really set up for big groups so we had to split up. That was no big deal! They were as accommodating as they could be. Each person we encountered was super nice and helpful. The people really make this place! The beer choices are plentiful and interesting. The food was great! We got bread sticks with beer cheese (amazing and spicy) and a large refrigerator pie with about 7 different toppings. It was really good pizza. All in all this is a fun little place with good people and good food!
Love their pizza absolutely best ever 5 stars but 1 star for professionalism because the lady who answered the phone was absolutely just rude. I was told not taking any orders and when I asked why your web site says "we take orders until 30 minutes before close" and this was at 7pm she said well thats just they way it is. Obviously if you want pizza from them you need to order a day ahead of time, or take the chance on getting this stupid covid and sit down there, but oh wait no I was told that wasnt possible either because they was booked up. So very disappointed in the complete lack of professionalism on the phone.
This is, hands down, the BEST pizza I've ever had! My husband and I ordered the roundhouse with the burnt cheese crust and we both squealed with happiness with almost every bite. My mom and step dad ordered the refrigerator, the deep dish thin crust filled with goodies and they squealed with delight with almost every bite! And finally, my dad, sister, and the kids shared the traditional crust pizza and they, too, joined in on the eating and the squealing. (We also ordered the mushrooms and beer cheese for appetizers and sweet Jesus, they didn't disappoint, there either! Mmmm!) Our server was prompt and friendly and fully on top of her section, even as the restaurant got busy. There was slight wait for the food, but that's to be expected on a Saturday night and it was worth every minute for the absolute perfection we received. We will be back!
My husband and I ate here yesterday for the first time since before the Pandemic. We were not disappointed! The food was amazing and just how we remembered. Service was great, as well. ????
We enjoyed the pizza with a group of friends..However, the wine was too pricey for four servings, it was more than the pizza. Plus each wine serving was only less than half full....Better to skip the wine and buy the beer..
