If you go to their site, they tout the best steaks and "second to none in tenderness and flavor.". That is quite the claim. And that claim is very wrong. I'm sure they use high quality steaks, and my steak (ordered Medium Rare) was properly prepared, and my wife's steak was also cooked properly. That being said, I cannot overstate enough the lack of seasoning. It tasted like the most plain Ribeye I've ever eaten before. Definitely under seasoned. Simply putting a light layer of salt over the steak helped a bit but wasn't enough to save the steak.... Now that out of the way.The sides, salad bar and all other food was very good. The wait staff were all very friendly. My wife and I had never been before, we tend to either go to Outback or Texas Roadhouse for steak. We might return in the future but it definitely won't be for steak.I love supporting smaller local restaurants so I don't mind trying it. But it's hard to recommend when the steak is just that bad.3/5
My son and I decided to eat there for the first time on his birthday. The place was busy, but we were seated fast. The food was delicious and our waiter was amazing, he was laid back, attentive, and made our experience the best possible. The food was very good, although somewhat pricey, except for the loaded fries which were cold, kinda hard, and just tasted kind of old. The rest of our meal, including dessert, was really good and we will be back.
Only been here for dinner once, however have been here for lunch multiple times while myself and a coworker were in the area for work for several weeks.I would highly recommend Cattleman's. The service is excellent, if you like salad bars, theirs is spectacular. The sirloin that I have had there have all been perfectly cooked.I cannot say enough about this place. I just wish these guys were up in Michigan where I live.
We had a good experience here. The staff were friendly, and our meal was served quickly. They have a decent salad bar and hot rolls. I ordered the fried pork chop with mashed potatoes. It was crispy and didn't taste overwhelming like fried breading like many places. It's a decent place to stop.
Amazing pot roast and gravy! Best I've had. Rolls were fantastic! (Only gave me 2 carrots lol) Very busy we ate at the bar.
I go for the salad bar! Sometimes I have spare time before appointments, so the Cattleman's salad bar is perfect! Excellent potato salad and pasta salad. I'm a ranch dressing girl, but they have a large variety of dressings to choose from. Can't go wrong! Service is always fast and friendly. Highly recommended.
We came and didn’t know what to expect. I had the fillet and John had the 20 oz. Ribeye. And they were melt in your mouth awesome. The salad bar is well stocked and has a wide assortment. The service was great and A big thank you goes to Rick for that. We will be back.
Servers/staff fantastically nice and accommodating, but beef tips were a bit tough and mushrooms with onions came separately a few minutes later in a bowl full of greasy butter. Hubby was a little disappointed in seasonings in their country fried steak. Both dishes were relying too much on garlic. Server was super sweet but seemed a little disjointed in getting 4 of us served. Our guests seemed satisfied with their meals but not overly impressed. Will still go back someday again for another try because of the friendly staff. Any place can have an off day or perhaps a substitute chef. Place was clean, mid afternoon not crowded and salad bar good.
My wife and I had dinner at the New Albany location 1/7/22. It was excellent all around. We were brought hot rolls and spicy butter immediately. Great service, salad bar was well-stocked and lots of variety. My steak was perfect as ordered medium-well. My wife's chicken was outstanding. We highly recommend this establishment!
While visiting family in town before Christmas ?, I ate here with my Dad. When we arrived we were able to be seated upon arrival. Having never ate here before, I asked our waitress about a few things on the menu. Upon her recommendation I was very happy with the ribs. Our meals arrived in good time. Other members of the staff were also excellent. I could tell the staff was happy to be there and they did there jobs well. Great food Cold draft beer and excellent staff made for a very pleasant experience. Thank You I will be back to try other items on the menu that sparked my interest.
