My title says it all. I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food, but I always enjoy coming here. The chips and salsa are great and I enjoy most of the meals I order here.
We have been to the Puerto Vallarta on Wheeling Ave on both of our last two visits. On our first visit we had dinner; the latest visit was for lunch. The restaurant was very busy at dinner, but the tables turned quickly so our wait time was less the 30 minutes. We were immediatelly seated when we were there for lunch. The quality of the food was excellent. We were amazed as the waiters carried as many as six or seven hot plates of food rested on a single arm to the tables. The margaritas were delicious. At lunch I enjoyed a cold Negra Modela draft beer in an iced mug. The servings were generous so we had food to take home and enjoy another day.
Always great food very friendly but our waitress this time was a little pushy We felt rushed We had to keep telling her we weren't ready to order yet over the top at our table constantly. But we'll be back We enjoy the restaurant
Food had no seasoning, the meat was literally just boiled hamburger. They even managed to remove all of the flavor out of the pepper in the Chile Relleno. Staff was very friendly and fast, though. I don't recommend anyone eat here.
You can't go wrong here. Their taco salad is to die for though. It is a personal favorite of mine. The fluffy fried tortilla is great for scooping the meat and cheese into your mouth. They are always quick with refills and extra chips and salsa. If you see one of these go there, and get the white cheese dip...it's absolutely needed

We've visited all three locations dozens of times, never had a bad experience that I can recall. Most of our orders are carryout now instead of dine in, but the food is still just as good.
First time eating at this location in several years. We were seated and served quickly. The food was excellent and hot. Our server was very nice and patient. He was always ready for fast and refills came fast. The place was very clean and nicely decorated. Portions were generous.
Fast seating and ordering. Accurately filled order within 12 minutes. Drinks and warm chips , cold salsa refilled continuously. Hot delicious food. No shortage of competent staff, all members of staff making our visit memorable. Thank you for exceeding my expectations.
I reluctantly decided to order food from this location only because we were short of time and the other two locations were packed, while the Wheeling location only had about 6 cars in lot(should have been a big heads up). We ordered chicken nachos and were surprised at how runny and liquidy they were. We only ate a small portion but have had stomach problems and diarrhea for 20 hours now. Wondering what made the food so runny? I would recommend not eating at this location, it’s not the first time we’ve had issues here! The other two locations have much better food and service. I regret leaving a tip also
