This is our go to place when we shop in Muncie. We love to go right in to the bar, enjoy a drink, catch up on some sports without it blaring us out of the place and eat amazing fresh made food.If Taylor is there it is a plus! She is fantastic. Cold weather days are spent by the fireplace. They really do have it all.
Been here twice , won’t give it a third shot . Waited 15 mins for our waiter saige , for her to not only come to our table but then take our card , then for 50$ I got puréed lobster with 5 raviolis and 5 raviolis with over cooked chicken . the chicken was literally so thin and over cooked I didn’t eat any of it and the raviolis were eh . Not worth it .
We ate at Carinos on July 11th for lunch. From the time we walked in the door until we left the staff was so nice and attentive. We sat in the bar and the bartender waited on us. She was amazing. She was so friendly and checked on us regularly. I had the Rosemary Chicken and it was perfectly cooked with tons of flavor. Cudos to the kitchen staff! Our entrees came out in 20 mins. The restaurant was clean and the restrooms were also clean and stocked. We also split a Tiramisu and I am not sure if it was made in house or not but it was comparible to a Tiramisu made in house. The prices have definitely gotten higher but I have noticed this across all restaurant. Most dishes were $15-$20. The food and service was worth the money!
I used a coupon today that expires 6/19/22. When I placed the order over the phone, the woman suggested it was expired. I told her it says the 19th and she can see it when I bring it in. After she took the coupon to the back and brought my food out, she said the coupon was expired but they'll do me a favor and still give me the deal. I told her to bring the coupon back and I would show her. I've never been so insulted! Basically called me a liar. Just to get room temperature food that I had to reheat myself. I've been a loyal customer, but will never go back after this! Get better employees.
Food and prices were okay overall, but nothing to write home about. Interior design was cooler than expected
My husband & I stumbled across this amazing place & it was so good, I had to write a review. I had the Tortilini and my hubby got a combo platter with Chicken Parmigiano, Lasagna & Spaghetti, with each containing the best sauces either of us had ever had! The service was great and we will definitely be back whenever we get back to Muncie!
In October we visited Johnny Carino's in Columbus Indiana, our experience was not the worst but certainly not the best. The disappointment was that we had heard such great things and was trying it for the first time. With that being said the owner ask us to try Johnny Carino's in Muncie Indiana. We gave it a try my grandson had never been there and loved it. They certainly redeemed themselves in our taste buds. Payton and Derick did an awesome job very attentive to us, and Derick was training and she was 4 days in on the job very impressive. My husband got the lasagna grandson got a pizza, cheese sticks, salad and spaghetti. I tried the jalapeno tilapia with angel hair pasta. Servings were large enough to bring home and have munchies and just as great reheated. I am so glad we gave it another try! We will be back.
Our waiter was pretty good. They were short-staffed, but he checked on us several times. My strawberry margarita was delicious!! The service was good and the wait was short.. My only complaint...no one that came in after our family wore a mask! Only the wait staff (and our family). We almost left because of this. We were shocked that Carino's was so lax in requiring a mask. Such a shame.
Absolutely lovely evening! Great food and wonderful service, always checking up on you! Definitely worth the price, and a trip out to Muncie for it! Lauren is very happy.
Just left this location at 1-31-2022 5:43 pm. Host is being extremely rude to customers (Brown hair about 5' 3" named starts with a letter N). Over heard comment from her it was "doesnt matter because no one important comes in until 6 pm." (Assuming management). Girl giving out the curbside orders was also being rude. Didnt catch her name (brown hair pony tail right over 5ft). Did not like seeing these people getting treated badly by these young immature workers. Definitely consider my future business elsewhere.
