Love the food but if they would be open every day it'd be nice!!!
Burgers are good as are the fries when they are hot and fresh. Shakes are way above average. Since food is cooked to order it takes more time than most burger joints. This applies to drive thru as well which I avoid for that reason
We waited a long time in the drive through. A car in front and in back of us. Finally we drove up to the drive through window. No one there. I opened the drive through window and hollered “hello, hello?” And after a few minutes a woman finally came and told me not to touch her window. I told her that the drive through speaker must not work and I was trying to get my order in. She said “we’re closed!” I told her that the car ahead of us got food and she said “he did door dash and we have to honor that.” There was NO SIGN anywhere saying that they were closed. This was on Friday April 29th at 4:15 in the afternoon! The people behind us got frustrated too after waiting so long. Put signs on the doors, drive through window and menu board if you don’t want to bother with customers. She was very rude to us when we had no idea that they were only serving door dash people.
Place is becoming like McDonald's, shake machine is always down and the service is VERY slow. Can't express how slow the service is, we ordered one meal which was a simple double cheeseburger with fries and a lemonade nothing special to the order. Have been waiting AT THE WINDOW FOR 45 MIN with the worker on her phone. As she's bagging the order continues to play on her phone.. Very disappointed with this place
They said the shake machine was broken. Are you kidding me? I worked at a steak n shake for 2 years and if the cooler or spinner broke we would say something about that. Except when I looked inside the store as I drove passed it didn't look broken.
Went to experience Steak ‘n Shake since my family has never had it. They were closed 30 minutes before their scheduled close time. The person working the drive thru was rude when we asked what time they closed. Very disappointed!
I only have it a two star rating mainly based on the new straws they are using. It's those paper straws, they create this really nasty taste. I understand saving the ocean and the turtles, but these paper straws are not the answer.
Rude red haired old woman working the drive thru- I can see why there is no business. Nobody ever answered the drive through and I could hear someone complaining on the microphone so I drove to the window where I could see people and she just ignored me. I finally had to honk and asked if they were open and she said “yes but you are supposed to wait at the drive thru”. She then proceeded to argue with me about if I waited at the drive thru. I waited and could hear her complaining and kept saying hello. No answer. First they raise prices and change sizes and now hire rude people. Done.
Thoroughly unimpressed and disappointed. My family and I came in at non-peak hours. There was only (1) order ahead of us and no orders in drive through. We came in at 16:09, and ordered 4 entrees. My Bacon Cheese Double Combo, came WITHOUT the fries I ordered. My bacon cheeseburger ALSO didn't have the bacon. My son's Triple Cheeseburger Combo with LG cheesy fries, came WITHOUT the cheesy fries and only came with (1) patty and NO BACON. My other son ordered a grilled cheese with bacon and grilled onion. It came WITHOUT the onion. My wife's fries were cold and stale. We had to go and get all their errors fixed. The restaurant had a distinct "sewer smell" from the plumbing, as soon as you walk onto the foyer. I will not come back to this location. The staff seemed not to care too much about our extremely inaccurate food order. To top it off, the napkin dispensers were completely empty. When we asked for napkins, they handed them to us, with ketchup already on the napkins. The floors and table were sticky. The restrooms were dirty. The staff was standing around and shooting the breeze.This experience was just atrocious. I expected better from Steak and Shake, but I guess their standards have lowered. I've also sent a copy of this review to their corporate office.
Service on drive thru went quick. Food was hot but selection has shrunk. Not as many choices.
