Always excited to see a staple of food outside it's primary area. Always the the feel and can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. My buddy tried his first Chicago dog and loved it as well. If you like good dogs or shaved beef this place has some of the best.
I now see how an efficient Portillo's is supposed to function. Everyone had a job... and they did it. The cashier was friendly and helpful. The people running the trays were like fine tuned machines. It was the fastest I have ever received my food. I highly recommend this Portillo's!
Was disappointed. This place was highly built up, and the ambiance is amazing. The service was barely a star; if a meal includes a drink and fries I should get that without having to “Oliver” myself at the counter.Food was three stars. It’s ok, but not true Chicago. I know better and cheaper places.Thus over all a three out of five. May try again, not sure asOf this posting .
The best part of Portillo's Mishawaka is that I don't have to go anywhere near Chicago to get real Chicago food. I get to live in Indiana (PARADISE) and not have to deal with the human garbage and stench of Chicago, but I can still enjoy the great food. The ONLY good thing about Chicago is the food and now it's here where I live.
I LOVE PORTILLO'S!!! Some of the best burgers made at this speed, in the country, period. Accompanied with lots of other amazing menu items and an interior unlike much of anything else you'll get to see. Amazing in-house dining place as well as good curbside pickup service. I am so thankful this is in the Elkhart/St. Joseph area, you have no idea...
Person who took our order in the drive thru was unfriendly. He refused to allow us to do two separate orders which made no sense at all. He just kept saying “I can’t do that”.
Today was my 3rd visit at this restaurant. The first time I got a cheeseburger, the second I got a crispy chicken sandwich thing, and today just fries and onion rings.Originally the cheeseburger had made the bun soggy, yet again for the next visit with the chicken sandwich. It's like they neglect to let the oil or grease drip prior to placing it on a bun. Who knows. So today I just played it safe with the fries an stuff cause the cheese sauce is great.Anyhow, today... after all this time during what "they" call a "pandemic" these people really told me they didn't have coins to give change. (We all know there was never, nor is there now, a change shortage..)Less than impressed all together.
The burgers and all beef Chicago dogs are awesome. My husband and I eat lunch or supper there anytime we are out by there. The service is great and the staff is very friendly. Great experience always.
good food and fast service
Usually when visiting the area we love coming here. We had a bad experience yesterday. The staff was super rude and not helpful at all and the food wasn’t the greatest. Hate spending money at an establishment and can’t even get a thank you or you’re welcome. Customer service has gone down the drain. Also you should teach your employees to stay off their phones and attend to their guests in a timely manner.
