Food was very good, I just wish they had some kind of bread with the dinner.
Love, Love Love this place!!! Friendly staff and always a pleasure to visit them!! They are fast even though the line (drive-thru) always is out into the street... They also have a walk-up widow if you don't want to sit in drive-thru!!!
It's been a few years, service is as good as we remembered and the food taste better as good but best yet, the price is very reasonable
If you avoid chains, this might fit the bill (as far as I can tell). This is a drive-through, fast-serve, steak-based restaurant. I think it is locally owned, and may be the only location. You can get steak tip meals, or sandwiches. Mashed, chunky potatoes, seasoned green beans, and mushrooms are all available. We tried it a while back. The food was very good but expensive. I tried it again today, ordering a single ‘large’ tips meal with the above sides. The bill came to over $16 and easily fit in a standard takeout meal container. The sides were flavorful. The quantity of food was reasonable, no skimping but certainly not overflowing. The problem was the meat. Evidently is it getting hard to provide good beef, even when charging such a premium price. Approximately 80% of the meat pieces couldn’t be fully chewed due gristle or something chewy that just wasn’t right. What a disappointment.
So good!! The steak melts in your mouth! The mushrooms are AMAZING!! Green beans have so much flavor and seasoned perfectly. I don't go there often because I hate Grape Road, but if they opened a spot of the south end of South Bend I would be there all the time.
I went to Nedderman's about noon on Thursday, February 24th. I ordered the large Sirloin Tip Steak Dinner, and .99 scoop of Mushrooms. The lady taking the order also made note of the distinction in the size Scoops for the mushrooms and price, which I did not know. I appreciated that. I was greeted at the window with a nice smile! My food was hot, all the portions were generous, had the right amount of seasoning, and my food was tender and soft, not mushy. It was really good! I will definitely be going back.
It's steak tips at the county fair any time you want them. The steak is always tender and delicious I always get sauted mushrooms added to the meal. I recommend buying extra sides if you are bringing dinner home for the family, or but from their catering menu. This time around I bought dinner from their website, and it was ready and waiting exactly when they said it would.
Lots of cars in line, but it went fast.. potatoes were super dry and not as good as usual and meat was super rare. If I was at a restaurant I would have sent it back. I really didn't want to drive all the way back .

Their food is so good. You won't find a more tender, juicy & delicious, melt in your mouth steak. Paired with green beans, mashed potatoes and those wonderful mushrooms, it's heavenly.
