We went in on a Saturday night so it was fairly busy. The food was great and we will be back, but probably carryout next time. As someone with sensory issues, I feel I need to warn that this place was very overwhelming. The ordering system was confusing, and there wasn't really anything to tell you how it works. It was loud and cramped, but I'm sure a weekday dinner would be better.
We always have Barnabys when we visit the area. We were extremely disappointed in the food. We has to wait for our pizza well past the 45 minutes we were told it would take. It just did not taste the same. Half of it went in the trash.
I'm a DoorDash driver, and I've worked 5000+ deliveries over this past year. Throughout all of them, few restaurant experiences have been worse than my visits to Barnaby's Mishawaka (not all Barnaby's, just this specific one). Three things set it apart from everywhere else:1. The managers are so rude and condescending to us. Consistently, can't pick up an order without feeling sad on my way out. We don't deal with anyone but the managers—I'm sure the staff is nice.2. No other restaurant does this, but the managers require that they must not only watch you go through each step in the app, but also that they see the map showing the customer's address after confirming. Why? Makes no sense but to slow down our day and display a condescending power flex.3. Not a big deal to me, but Barnaby's Mishawaka is also the only restaurant in town that has Dashers wait in the kitchen where food gets made. Feels like it should go against some health code, but I don't know how those work.In summary, I love being a Dasher and my day is filled with many wonderful people at many wonderful restaurants, but this Barnaby's man. My otherwise great day was once again made sour by a single trip here.
I grew up eating Barnabys, so whenever I come back for a visit, I have to have some! And it never disappoints. It's just as good now as when I was a kid.
Order a large pizza with 5 items. Problem is there was very little to no cheese. Lots of crust and sauce but very little cheese. Paid $36 for a large pizza and 1/2 order of cheese bread. Not worth the price. Crust was flavorless and dry, maybe because there wasnt much cheese. I wouldn’t order this again, I’ll stick with Luigis when I’m in town.
Their pizzas are thin crust, very similar in taste and texture to a cracker crust, but good for my taste. They cut their round pizzas in a checker board type squares, do I recommend knife and fork for the inner slices when it's hot. I eat there at least three times each month, and take advantage of the receipt discounts on your next purchase.
Pizza is always great, service is not always the best. Call in for carry-out at 10:45am, told it'll be ready in 30 minutes. Show up 45 minutes later, still not ready and told another 10 minutes. It's early and slower for them and only 2 people in entire place, just poor time management and efficiency by staff. Biggest knock on this place is how long service takes.
Great retro visit to this establishment. Confused at first on self seating and ordering process, but the pizza was great and the owner was super friendly. You HAVE to stop here if you're an out of towner!!!
Extremely disappointed! We live nearby and thought we would try this place. Just my wife and I on a Tuesday afternoon. She ordered the fish sandwich.... it came out as two small frozen fish sticks on a bun. The lettuce? One small piece of flat green stuff that didn't cover the bun! I tried there Pub Burger, with lettuce, tomato and cheese. Mayo on the side... the bun was horrible, the same green flat stuff they caked lettuce, and a small tomato. The fries? Don't get me started! Small, cold, and horrible! How do they stay in business? The men's room was filthy, with all kinds of crumbs on the partitions that had been there for months, and a filthy urinal! Totally disgusting! Had a glass of water and noticed at the counter that they did not offer free soft drink refills! Whoa! What did I just read? Never returning! Too many other places to go!!
Chili was recommended by a customer. It was awful, not fresh, thick. Beans were the only part edible. 75% of it was left. Root Beer float was the best value. Prices were decent. Burger was thin, not what I expected. Will not go back. The pizza isn't good. I hate the cornmeal on the underside of the crust.
