The food was delicious, they were very accommodating to special requests, and they checked back regularly to check on us and refill our drinks. Even though food service can be a taxing job (especially since CoVid), the waitress brought her A-Game with a huge smile to each table and every interaction. It was a pleasant experience I wouldn’t mind repeating sometime soon.PS: My husband loved the Green River drink. Happy husbands are the best!! Thanks Schoop’s. ?
If you want a good old fashioned hamburger Schoop's is the spot! Great experience walked in and were seated right away. A very vibrant young lady with a nice smile greeted she took our order right away. I had a hamburger when it arrived it was so big I cut it in half. The hamburger was great I love the crisp edges hanging over the side of bun I always eat those first. We had one order of onion rings that was enough for my husband and I. Well worth the trip and reasonable priced!. Also I love the decor.
First time trying this restaurant. It was good. Basic diner menu, no particularly above and beyond selections. Burgers were great. Good quality meat and cook. Mozzarella sticks were standard quality, breaded mushrooms the same. Nothing fancy. Waitress had some issues with listening and mixed toppings on 2 burgers as well as the table next to us. Good hangover place. Speed was a bit slow on the serving. Overall I don't mind this place after a night of drinking at the casino but it is quite barebones if your looking for anything fancy.
Long standing local burger joint. Think tradional '50s or '60s burger stop. They have the old school counter. Order a shake and a burger!
Good food, nice employees and the restaurant was clean also. The price was good too. We had hamburger and fries. They give you a good amount of fries in their basket. 3 of us eat and the bill was around 31.00 dollars. That was 3 hamburgers, two fries and onion rings. I would recommend Schoop's
Theme restaurant with a '50's decor, award winning burgers and fries, heaping good breakfast menu, also. A favorite for decadesService is friendly, food is fresh and delicious.A tradition not to be missed!
Schoop’s is a charming diner, soda shop kind of place! I can’t resist the smash burgers with a side of crispy, hot fries! Add a shake and you’re good to go! Lots of other great menu items! It’s even a fun place to check out for breakfast!
Been by here a million times and finally ate there. I don't remember exactly what I had but it was a beacon cheese burger or something along those lines. The patties themselves are very thin and pressed, I assume on a griddle. They had wonderful flavor, it was a really good burger. My only gripe is you can't order fries at 11:45 because apparently they don't turn on the fryers until noon. I'll definitely eat here again.
This was my girlfriend and I’s first stop for some food in Michigan City. Our waitress was nice but she kept trying not to laugh while taking our orders, which I found odd. As she came back to ask for our food orders she was just straight up laughing at us. I’m assuming it was because she knew we we’re from out of town and thought it was funny. Other than that the food was bussin! I ordered the “special burger” which I didn’t find to be all that special. It was just an ordinary burger with standard toppings. My girlfriend liked her grilled cheese and the soda we both got had plenty of carbonation. It had a classic diner feel with the old music playing to boot. The mens room could’ve been a little cleaner but it wasn’t a huge deal. Overall it was a nice time with decent food for its price. I think the employees need to take their job a little more seriously and treat out of towners with a little more respect.
We ordered two burgers and onion rings. Everything was delicious. The waitress stopped at our table numerous times to check on us even though they were busy.
