I don’t tend to leave a lot of reviews but I felt this one was necessary. We are local to Michigan City and decided to go to Ritz for dinner last night. The food was excellent but the service was subpar and the most alarming part of the night was right after 8:30 hit, the server/bartender started vocally yelling to everyone in the establishment that it was time to leave even though both the door and online says they’re open until 9pm. There were a total of 3 tables left in the restaurant at this time and when we didn’t move fast enough for her, she repeated herself again and yelled for us all to leave because they were closing. It was such an odd and abrupt way of asking your guests to leave we first thought she was joking. Again, the food was excellent and we will be back. But there is some definite work to be had in hospitality and would encourage updating both the door and online with the correct hours to avoid future confusion.

Went for Taco Tuesday and it was amazing. I moved back here from Colorado 7 years ago and the cook makes his own "green sauce" as the waitress called it. It's the closest thing to "Green Chili" that I've had since moving back here. Absolutely loved it

Good beer selection. Decent food, way too expensive. Unpredictable hours.

Food was priced high for a bar so I didn't eat it. Nice vibe and location though.

The burgers ? were Delicious ? and the beer ? was cold and the chicken ? wings were too die for ❤️❤️

Myself and two colleagues had lunch there. The waitress was nice and on top of things and the burgers and fries were great. Will definitely go back.

I'm not very impressed. The service was okay, but the food was horrible. We had a variety of the menu options from our table of 12. No one enjoyed it. Especially the fries. They were still frozen and cold in the middle. I'm not sure if we will give it another try to maybe be able to change our opinion. I'm going to reply to you privately but I will state publicly we did tell our waitress. So maybe not frozen fries but were hard and cold not cooked throughout on anyones order. Your power even went out while we were there. Which we totally understand not your control. We visited February 22nd.

Went there on St Patricks Day, good value on the Corned beef and Cabbage with carrots, Potatoes the works very tastee and excellent waitress. Great beer selection also!

Great beer! Great food! A longtime city staple iconic bar.

Really neat historical place to stop in, have a few beers and a good sandwich with homemade fries and or chips.
